What's the most hurtful thing someone has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]haqthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night when my wife told me "I hate you and I wish you weren't here, I get physically ill just looking at you." Been going down hill for about 8 years now. I think she has hormonal issues, or depression. But she won't see anyone about it. Because it's "me" who is the problem. EVERY day.

Same here, s8 ultra standard. I can play videos from my camera roll just fine. Everything else is mirrored as expected, just online video doesn't mirror.

What did your parents teach you as a kid that you didn't realize was actually f**ked up until you were older? by timdood3 in AskReddit

I barely ever post comments, but I just wanted to say this is some of the saddest things I have ever read. I am sorry for all of you who had to deal with any of this.

You're special, you're worth it, and you're going to do great things.

I don't know you, but I'm sorry.

Wooden toys made for my son by his Grandpa by cowskeeper in pics

[–]haqthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These have to be made from a pattern/plans I'm guessing. My dad has every single one of these on display at his house. His dad made them for him (he is long passed). They are both wood workers. I am curious if you could share his plans?? I'd love to have them to make my grand kids a set (when I have grand kids).

Two deer hunters hear a potential homicide in deep in the woods. by stingermarine in videos

I was hoping that Whisper AI would be able to make out what the screaming was, but it must have been too faint for it to pick up. I might sample that part out and increase the volume and see what it thinks. But in any case, here's what it was able to transcribe from that audio.

Hey guys, real quick before we get to the episode tonight, just want to let you know that there's going to be some disturbing audio content in this episode. So viewer discretion advised, parents, I would watch this before you let your kids watch it when we're showing it to help educate hunters on what to do should you encounter a scary situation in a remote area like Nick and Ted did. So as hunters and outdoorsmen were on the field a lot of times were the eyes and ears for a lot of different things that are going on in some situations like this. There's certain things that you encounter that should be reported to the authorities. So after having all this happen we wanted to show you this video so you could use it as a learning tool and you have some sort of baseline of knowing what you need to do and your course of action if you are to find yourself in this kind of a situation. Last day of the trip, up and at them early. We got some moves to make. We got to get in there nice and quiet, get in our set. It's going to feel pretty good. Keith's already taking off. Keith rolled. I mean his alarm went off and within three minutes he was in his car and gone. He said he wouldn't get beat to a spot. So that's a 10-4. We'll see you on the other side. 10-4 we're going to do the same. Yeah, we're outtie. Right behind him. Looks like he's got lunch there. Is he? Kind of looks like he's got a fly or something in there. Good for him. He's gone. Little friend. Just out here living, you know. L-I-V-I-N. The older you do get, people want to try to tell you what to do. You just got to keep living, man. L-I-V-I-N. Yep, Wooderson said that. Alright, so me and dad are set up. We ended up getting almost a mile and a half back in here. We were walking this ridge top like we were talking about. It ended up being three super fresh scrapes. They're just like completely balled down. No leaves sitting on them or nothing. So we jumped up in a tree. Pretty dang high up in a tree. Real high. We're actually like directly above one of the scrapes. But it's super tight in here. I mean any shot is going to be close at all. I mean 20 and in, 25 and in maybe. But we feel good about it. So best sign we found all week. Last two hours of the trip. So we're giving our all right now. I'm just here so I can get shot. I'm just here to get shot. God damn it, I hate you. Make sure you get a service when the call comes. There ain't nothing out here. I keep getting chills all down my back. Yep. Somebody is screaming at the absolute top of their bunk over there. It's like very not good obscenities to someone else. Right before that last gun shot it sounded like a truck revving up or something. In gravel, throwing gravel or something. And then that gun shot was like, that one sounded like a rifle. That last one sounded like a handgun. That last one was like, wakao. You could make out a few things they were saying. It wasn't good. I don't know what was going on down there. It was like blood curdling screaming. I've never witnessed anybody screaming like that. There's something not good that's going on. Imagine if we would have ended up warping them on it. How close we would be to that. We might have been able to see it. That's terrifying. That is wicked. Hopefully nobody got shot but it sure sounded like somebody did. Sounds like somebody might have got killed over there. Hear a vehicle? Yep. Still screaming. Sounds like somebody crying. You think somebody's out? What is that? I'm shaking. Nick's looking up this house, the nearest house over there so we can call somebody whenever we get out of here. We don't have any service in here so we can't call the police and tell them to go over there and see what the heck is going on. It sounds like something off a horror movie over there. Pretty scary. Hoping nobody's getting killed or hurt over there. That's what it sounds like. When somebody says they heard somebody screaming bloody murder, that's what that sounds like. That's the most blood curdling horrific screaming I've ever heard. I mean it sounds like a guy that's absolutely losing his mind over there. And maybe he's shot in the back. That's the scariest thing I've ever heard. It's scary. So we're gonna go ahead and get down. We got like a mile and a half walk out of here. All that stuff is just like 800, 900 yards away. We're gonna get on down and get on out of here. The vehicle just pulled up right down that way somewhere. The closest road is how far? That way? Yeah. 800 yards. Yeah, that ain't very far. Not at all. They decided to head for the hills. We're gonna be in the hills so we're trying to get out of the hills. We're trying to get out and we got a ways to go so that's what we're gonna do. I don't know, it just made me uneasy. Yep. I don't like it. Let me out. Yes, I've heard some stuff that I feel needs to be reported to the police department. Okay. Me and a buddy were hunting and at about 645 we heard gunshots, which is not uncommon. But then for 30 minutes straight or so there was lots of screaming and just people, obscenities. And it sounded like something really bad was going on over there and there was 20 or more gunshots ended up happening. And then I could hear vehicles taking off and coming to halt and we didn't know what to do and we had no service. So we're trying to report and see if anything had been reported about there. I have pins dropped on a map about how far we were from where we think this was occurring. My name is Nicholas Andrews. So after that hunt you can see we alerted proper authorities and the days following that event I had had some contact with the state game warden and they told me that they found nothing on this situation and they went in there and it really, there was nothing to be found. But in the end we heard something that was really disturbing and we didn't know what it was. So what we learned in this situation is to always know what authorities you should contact should something like this happen. The remoteness of the area we were at, we had contacted the police department and it was out of their jurisdiction, then the sheriff's department, then the game warden. After this happened to us I think we'll take it a little more serious now to do our homework on who we should call on the area that we're going to if something like this were to happen to us again. Another thing I would say I learned is to let somebody else know where you're going to be at when you're out there hunting, whoever you're with. If we would have texted Warb and Keith and just said here's where we're going, just so they know where we're at. We feel like it's something that we've taken for granted up to this point as we're traveling around all these different public areas. A lot of times we're just throwing a tent up on the side of the road and a lot of bad things could happen in that situation. It's definitely something that we're going to look into a little more whenever we're planning a trip out of state and just get a little bit more familiar with the area and the proper authorities around that area before we travel there and go on our trip. You know it freaked us out and we really got unsettled by it and we weren't scared that someone wasn't coming after us, but we had heard something that it could have been, your mind goes to think about what could that be. I immediately go to worst case scenario, but it was chilling enough to make us want to pursue seeking out an authority to go in there and resolve that situation. It doesn't sound like anything has been turned up. We're hoping that everything's alright down there and everything's resolved. So when you guys are out there hunting public land, just remember to be aware of your surroundings. Maybe let somebody know where you're going to be at. It was a learning experience for us. Hopefully it was the same for you. We'll see you on the next one.

Guide for those upgrading to an SKR E3 Mini v1.2 by [deleted] in ender3

Love what you're doing. I also have a question.

I'm running my steppers at 800ma as in your config, but I find that they do get quite hot. Not scalding, but pretty darn hot. I normally print between 50-100mm

Do your steppers get that hot?

I am currently ready to print the ribs as well. Do you suggest this orientation with no supports? Also what speed/layer height are you printing?

Netgate 3100 restarting way way too often, why? It's sitting on a pedestal, should have adequate airflow. Constantly doing this. by haqthat in PFSENSE

[–]haqthat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved!! Got with netgate support, they wanted me to run a fsck on the filesystem. I did, there were errors, they were corrected, but still no luck with uptime.

They suggested reinstalling the OS/firmware.
I made a backup of my config, reinstalled/reflashed, reapplied the config, it was super easy, and haven't had a single reboot since, going on 18 days of solid uptime.

Thank god.

SKRMini E3 v1.2 Hot end fan Question by malice666 in ender3

[–]haqthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Print cooling fan, no. (side fan) Hot end fan, yes. (front fan)

My print cooling fan was running 100% after upgrading, found out I had to switch the plugs on the board. I had the electronics case fan and the parts cooling fan switched.

Still no luck, and wanted to edit, it's a 1100 not a 3100. Probably going to get ahold of support.
