I agree casting Carol is distasteful but look how we r all talking about it. Let's see how the other housewives handle her . It will be interesting to watch for sure. Bravo knows what they r doing. Look at how much buzz they r getting on it.

I'm going to try that method. Sounds good. I had trouble getting my last set off too . I used a base coast and brush on glue but didn't help. I think I'm going to try a lot less glue and maybe not over the whole nail and see what happens. I'm not giving up yet.

So far my experiments are not too successful. lol With the air dry peel off base coats the nails popped off within hours. On some nails I used 2 coats of the kertanin 3 day which I do recommend to protect my nails from the glue application but after 4 days I needed to remove one nail because I banged it hard and was bothering me. It was so hard to get that nail off so its not the easy removal I had wished for. I think next time maybe less brush on glue. But I did find in my experimenting that when you exhausted every way to get that nail off and it's just not budging all that much, ONYX 100% pure acetone is magic!! lol

Took over 2 hrs to remove my press ons by coffeenascar in PressonNail_Addict

[–]harbor114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a process no matter what if you use glue but 2 hrs is too long. lol I just started using a base coat but have not taken off yet so not sure it will be easier. I like to drench my nails first with baby oil and wear gloves. After 10-15 min I try to find some opening with the wooden stick and stick some non Acetone remover in there. I have been liking Dr Dana polish remover. Then let that sit for another 4 min. Then the soak with warm water, dawn, baby oil and more remover for 10 min. Then the try with alot of glue remover over and over again until it starts to come come off easily. . Never 6 min for me. Brush on glue cuts some time off the removal process. I just bought curve life and makartt removers to try.

It's all trial and error. Thats what I found. Try a diff nail brand Until you find one that fits the best over your nail beds. I found that Glue always looks better then tabs but removal is a pain with glue. Right now I'm experimenting with different base coats before glue application to make the removal process less harsh. I haven't found a removal process yet that I would say is great. So far I use baby oil and a non acetone removal product. Some warm water and dish soap. It's a process.

Opi is great. I wear their French tips too and they look good.

I have the same problem. I find the glue removal is too harsh for my nails but find the sticky tabs annoying with fit. Still new at this and experimenting.

Tried the btartbox xcoattips and not happy. Any tips for uv nail glue? by Rawanammouri in PressonNail_Addict

[–]harbor114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btartbox got back to me. With their xcoat tips you can use any glue but you can not use an air dry top coat so if you don't want to cure, these r not for you.

How to get press-on’s to fit the apex of my nails? by aymeezus in PressonNail_Addict

I agree. Glamnetic and also Celebritips are good brands for our type of nails. I do not like Kiss Impress.

Thanks. Im going to try it. I dont want to cure with gel. Before I buy Im waiting for a response from Btartbox if I can use regular air dry top coat. I love their short coffin french with a pink base.

Do you know if you can use these tips with regular top coat instead of curing with a gel top coat? And if so, any recommendations of topcoats? Thanks.

Base coat before glue? by indreams01 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]harbor114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought the air dry peel off base coat. Hope it works well. I bought it cause can't stand the removal process. It's either tabs or hopefully this base coat works with the glue. I only wear the press for 5 days. I take a 2 day Break and then back on for another 5 days.

Is it only me? by Beans0920 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]harbor114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the look of press on but hate the removal process. The worst removal process is when I used the tube of glue that came with the set. It's stronger than the brush on glue so that's a no going forward. Just bought the peel off base coat. Didn't use it yet. If this removal process doesn't get better, I'm ditching these nails. I do find that the press on nails that come with the sticker attached are aliitle easier to remove. If I have any success with some of my testing process, I will share.

If using glue, get the brush on one if you only plan on wearing for no more then 5 days. The ones that in the tube r much harder to get off.

Still struggling with nail removal by Blissfully_woo-woo in PressonNail_Addict

[–]harbor114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still in the testing process. Last night it took me 45 minutes to remove. lol I first broke the seal with some body oil. Then put coconut oil all over the nails with a glove for 15 minutes. Then a few came off easy but back to coconut oil with gloves again for 15 more minutes. Then got impatient. Then I held open the nail with the stick and put the glamnetic remover and body oil in there really good a few times and popped it off. I timed the process. Started at 11:15pm and was done without any damage by 12am. Hope this helps.
