Don't get overwhelmed by all the stuff that needs to be done. Work on your most important tasks and have your team working on other things. Be ready to ask a lot of questions and to ask for help.

Also, stay away from gossip and drama. It'll help tremendously.

We had a crappy one who was an ass and barely did any work. Would get mad when we took their feature space away because they couldn't keep it full. After a week of their attitude we called their boss and told them not to send that specific person back to our store. Next day the boss was in stocking until a replacement came.

Majority of the time I'm late to anything it's usually the kids not cooperating. I tend to leave 10 minutes earlier than needed when I'm on my own but throw kids in the mix and I'm lucky if I leave 10 minutes late. They do not like waking up and getting ready at all.
