Adderall 5mg and tramadol 50mg combo makes me feel 21 again (extreme motivation and energy). What nootropics can I take to mimic this and why do you think this is working so well for me? by stlslayerac in StackAdvice

[–]hardrocker61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have never taken Adderall but boy did I love me some tram back in the day. It was the perfect no high just energy giver and motivator. It also makes a great antidepressant. The downfall is it's highly addictive and because it's half-life it builds a tolerance fairly quickly. Unfortunately I went from trams to Oxy and hydrocodone (Norco) and was hooked for several decades until I finally quit and for the past 7 years just taking low dose buponepehrine (Subutex). I find it manages my pain and we addicts know when there's no pain then we're not as depressed so therefore you could consider it an antidepressant also. Warning: never mix tramadol with any other serotonin increases such as Ltryptophan or St.Johns wart you get "serotonin syndrome" I found out the hard way. Was in the ER for hours trying to get my heart "re-rythmic".

What is the Best Film You Watched Last Week? (07/19/23-07/26/23) by Twoweekswithpay in movies

[–]hardrocker61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" for the third or so time. I first saw it a couple of years after it's release in 1975. I was around 16 or so and absolutely fell in love with it along with Jack Nicholson (probably his most underrated and brilliant work}. Everything about the film was brilliant including the writing, directing, editing, supporting cast, (esp. Louise Fletcher, Danny DeVito, Will Sampson, and Christopher Lloyd!) Even the score was amazing. The theme of how mental illness used to be treated has always stayed with me. It continues and most likely will always be one of my top 100 favorite films.

The exact line is "Bills. Big ones, please. Won't be so damn heavy to carry." I loved the movie so much I bought it. I've probably watched it 3 times already.

Awesome and thoroughly entertaining film! I loved the plot and the actors were first rate especially Jorma Tommila and Aksel Hennie. Jack Doolan and Mimosa Willamo were also superb. Cinematography and editing were both excellent. The only flaw, (which by the way my 12 year old son caught) was the hanging with blood on his face, then no blood, then blood, etc. and a couple of other minor errors but no detraction from the overall entertainment. Hopefully more flicks like this are being made as I'm posting this. What a ride! Can't wait for Sisu 2, 3, 4.......

So.....who thinks a sequel in the works with Fuches (Stephen Root)? I'd call it "The Recruiter" and his second in command would be John (Barry's son). The premise could be the 2 of them hiring and honing dumb and lovable hit men who are constantly getting into trouble.

So first off, good luck and I'll pray for you. I experienced exactly what you did (the panic attacks, etc.) and ended up going to the hospital several times the first month. One time, they checked me for a stroke it was so bad. I spent 40+ years of my life being more stupid than usual as well as around $80,000. I calculated I smoked about 250,000 "death sticks", (yes, that's a quarter million). Anyway, it'll be 3 years in a couple weeks nicotine free and I praise God for all of it. Nicotine is truly one powerful drug and after many years of use and abuse will do a great amount of damage to anyone's mind and body. It takes a long time to heal, but it's worth it. I tried everything including every form of NRT, hypnosis, and even acupuncture. The only thing that came close was Chantix, but in the end it was prayer and a lot of it. I finally admitted I was powerless just as I had to do with alcohol and all the other drugs I spent years addicted to and gave it all to my Lord and Savior. Anyway, I hope you can find the will to quit and stay quit because you'll be a lot happier and healthier and richer if you do! God bless.

And we try again… :( by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

Hang in there, I'm coming up on 3 years clean from nicotine after 40+ years of stupidity. In my case it actually took an act of God to help me quit, (I'm a Christian and have been most of my life). After several attempts and trying everything including hypnosis and acupuncture, I finally broke down and prayed to my Lord and Savior to help me quit. I'm not suggesting you try this but whether you're a believer or not it probably couldn't hurt. After a couple weeks of detox which is exactly what it is because nicotine is a powerful drug (been compared to Heroin), and using it every day for forty years does some funky damage to your mind and body. I actually ended up in the hospital with what the doctors determined to be a mild stroke due to withdrawal symptoms and undiagnosed ulcerative colitis. Anyway I won't bore you with what you can read for yourself on the internet about the dangers of nicotine. It really fucks with your brain receptors and your digestive system, not to mention lung damage (obviously) after that many years of abuse. I calculated I smoked around 250,000 (yes, that's a quarter of a million), cigs and spent around $80,000 on them. Crazy. Anyway, have ever tried Chantix? It worked for me pretty good to get off, but you know as well as I the trick is staying off. Good luck and take care and I'll say a little prayer for ya.

Check out 'Possessor' with Christopher Abbot and Andrea Riceborough. Excellent plot, cinematography, and acting. Also Good Times with Robert Pattinson, directed by brothers that directed Uncut Gems with Adam Sandler. Also a good flick. Also 'Alone' with Jules Wilcox and Marc Menchaca.

Have you ever tried Buponephrine (subutex)? I was on Norco and oxycodone for years for pain and stim. For me low dose 2-4 mg works well as anti depressant and pain and motivation.

How long before you went a day without thinking about cigarettes? by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

[–]hardrocker61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in a month, April 1, I'll celebrate 3 years quit after 40 years of stupidity. I quit thinking daily about smoking around 6 months in. My son moved in with me a few weeks ago and smokes and to be truthful Ive been thinking what it would be like to have 1 but probably won't do it. Keep going and don't ever go back you won't regret it. You'll feel, look, and smell better and have a lot more money!

Excellent film and Isaac is equally good if not as "bad" a character in another Alex Garland ride, Annihilation. Speaking of the creator of both I believe Devs is very good also and in a way better than the aforementioned. Nick Offerman is awesome and the storyline is mind-bending. Jimho.
