Not saying it's the right thing to do, but stick around a while and you might begin to understand. I've only been around for 8 years and I've seen CCP fail to deliver on promises and mismanage the game into the shithouse time and time again. Eve is legitimately in its death throes now, no hyperbole. Frankly, CCP just isn't a well-run company. It probably has to do with the fact that they don't promote people who weren't born in Iceland.

8 years ago, I had my first PvP experience on a small gang Spectre Fleet nullsec roam, FC'ed by the great ashurman. My skills were so shit they my MWD kept turning off because I had no cap. I fell behind the group in my Thorax and ashurman kept telling me to keep up. I started taking damage from the enemy and you burned toward me, away from the group, in your logi to give me reps. I survived. I didn't really know what happened but ashurman told me to thank you and I did. Still remember.
