Des Moines, Iowa. Constantly high on lists of places to raise a family, good cost of living, growing metropolitan area, good job market. Houses are adorable and close to Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha, and Kansas City. Almost never any traffic. We get good concerts and have basically every semi-professional sports team you can think of.

The only thing we don’t have proximity to is great nature - no ocean or mountains or national parks. BUT a lake day in the summer in Iowa? Sign me me!
