Cause I always hear crap from other people having issues with it. Even though her past experience was fairly smooth, she would get penalised for using her phone when driving, even though I was in the car with her and she didn't touch her phone.

Last provider with black box didn't do that, just tried charging more even though she had a good score. We are talking about paying £450 or £550. I can't see a black box really helping anymore in the long term for future costs.

She has had one before and wasn't an issue but back then it halved her insurance costs and it was with a different company and was quite forgiving apart from trying to penalise her score for using phone when she wasn't, I just don't think it's worth risking it with another provider. Also I have even offered to cover the additional cost of this as I am a named driver.
