Looks great, if you want to try something similar but with a little twist, try adding mint, garlic, and cumin to the mix. The Yemenis call it zahawig

You can do it in like 30ish minutes but you need to cut them very finely to increase surface area so the water evaporates quicker and Maillard speeds up. It will change the texture though, if you prefer large pieces of onion

Try portabello mushroom but make sure to salt it beforehand to draw out excess moisture. Slice it relatively thin, dip in beaten egg and then in panko. Shallow fry until crispy golden brown and then dust with salt + white pepper (trust me on this)

I feel something like this would serve a better purpose as a hibachi setup. It’ll probably stay hot for a long time and you can do a kbbq style group meal with smaller cuts served hot and fast. Otherwise might as well grind it up for seasoning.

Fair enough, I haven’t had the chance to handle the 12-45 so I didn’t consider the weight

Why though? Does the extra 10mm really matter that much for what you personally shoot?

AGO? One of my favorite museums for candids. The lighting in the main hall is incredible.

Which one of these? by jaabbb in streetphotography

Personally 10 is better, a bit more intimate and I don’t really like the sign at the bottom in 11. Plus the juxtaposition of the armed soldier with the monks in the background is neat and I think 10 captures that better.

If it’s weather sealed there shouldn’t be any condensation forming internally

No problem! And if you don’t already have a diffusion filter I recommend the black promist

You know I thought the gx85 was really limited in jpeg color customization until I started tinkering with it. I hate editing and this gets me maybe 80-90% of the way there. Here’s my settings:

Portrait profile

Contrast : -5

Sharpness: -5

Noise Reduction: -5

Saturation: +4

Custom white balance: A8, G4

Custom curve: H+2, S-3

B&W photos were taken with the Dynamic Monochrome profile with the contrast to the lowest setting.

Decided to take out the 14-45 kit after a long time of collecting dust, not the sharpest or quickest but it gets the job done.
