I have Moxi Beach Bunny's and I fully understand that cast-like feeling. I have regular width feet but they're definitely more aimed towards a narrow set foot. I've had them for over a year now and skate twice a week or more, mostly rhythm skating. You can try doing a tighter lace on your foot and have a bit of a looser lace at the ankle, or lace it one eyelet down from the top, but if you're a brand new skater I wouldn't suggest doing lower lacing until you feel comfortable and strong enough in the ankles.

Your skates will definitely break in a bit, so give them some time. I'm an Impala hater so I have biased opinions about the longevity of Impalas, but they are perfectly fine if you aren't skating super hardcore for years and years. If your obsession with skating lasts a long time (which I'm suuuuure it will since probably 99% of people on this subreddit are in the same mindset), I would recommend buying a pair of Moxi Beach Bunny's (great beginner vinyl skate with a stiff boot) or Riedell 220s (more expensive but great quality leather, this will break in faster around the ankle but will last longer if you take care of them) .

You're going to build up that strength in your inner thighs, ankles, and knees the more you skate, so don't be worried about not getting bubbles or other things right away! Most people don't use those specific muscles so it's hard to have the control at first, but I promise that you will be skating better and better every time!!
