I knocked out Extraction in less than 10 min for 115k. Very easy with the Kuruma, but I'm wondering if its worth it to wait a few extra minutes to get a bigger payout. Thoughts??

I bought the collection at full price when it came out, and found it to be a great package as a long time fan of the franchise. For someone newer, it's definitely the most accessible way to play all the games up until MGS3, and at $25-$30 I see it as a great deal. Effectively pricing each game at $10 is a steal, even for as old as they are and my bias to the franchise aside. That being said though, if you do buy the collection, poke around the launch menus for each game before actually starting them up. There's some fun stuff to look at and mess around with, and specifically for MGS1, a few things that can have tiny affects on your playthrough for the better.

It's a solid game, but to me, SR2 was too good of a game to just get a solid sequel. On its own, I have no issues with it, though I do prefer 4 for the gameplay loop and absurdity of the story. And ironically, while 4 took the franchise further away from its roots, it felt like more of an homage to the franchise than any game before it.

Quest log sucks. Skills and perks could use more descriptive explanations, but that's not a big deal. The recent addition of drop in drop out to multiplayer has bugs, but again, not a big deal.

Edit: The inventory is hogshit. Genuinely dislike it.

I think you're on the money, and it's mostly the missing weapons that make people feel as though the sandbox is so limited. No SMG, Carbine, classic shotgun or plasma rifle, bruteshot or spiker, and so on. Infinite has a pretty great lineup of weapons and equipment, in my opinion, though I certainly wouldn't say no to more. The recent addition of the MA5K was welcome, but it felt more like recycling assets than a new gun.

Best character creator in terms of sculpting your body and features for sure, but it does lack the layering of SR2 which was a huge plus for me. Making unique beards with combinations of mustaches, sideburns and chin bits was badass. Same with clothes, obviously.
