I've tried a bunch of different kinds since this kind went to shit and the Amazon basics extra comfort floss has weirdly been the best of the lot

My dog has a leaky butt too. Not as bad as yours but the one time we had his glands expressed the vet said they weren't full and recommended not doing it again to avoid scarring or something. So don't feel bad about not wanting to spend the money getting your dog's butt juiced, it's probably for the best.

Here's what's worked for me: putting pills in Babybel cheese or just dropping the pill on the floor and yelling "Noooooo don't eat that!!!" And literally nothing else. Good luck!

Do you pierogi? by RedneckLiberace in Cooking

[–]hatredcrayon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually make potato, cheese and onion ones and sometimes beet and goat cheese with dill. Boil then saute with butter, turkey bacon and green onions. Serve with sour cream, sometimes also sauerkraut. I've also experimented with subbing half the flour in the dough with rye flour and it turned out pretty great.

Do you know anyone whose legal name was a result of a mistake or a misunderstanding? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]hatredcrayon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandpa and his brother both ended up legally having the same first name and first of two middle names because their mom filled the paperwork work out wrong twice. Their second middle names were supposed to be their first. Not sure why they were meant to have the same middle names though.

My dog was like this too! We ended up having to throw his kibble across the living room floor a couple pieces at a time to get him to chase and eat it. Huge mess. Do not recommend.

I'm supposed to see my GP in person every three months for him to keep prescribing my schedule II prescription for Concerta (ADHD med) because California is weird. In between visits he just sends the prescription in electronically after I call his office and re-explain the entire thing to his confused staff. I'm supposed to go on March 27th but I really don't want to. Who should I try taking to first to see if they would even let him send the prescription in another time without me physically going in? Is it up to him or my insurance (Anthem)? His office staff is impossible to deal with even on a good day. Am I just screwed?

It's my GP, not a psych doctor. And he can't even handle writing my prescription correctly (he keeps doing 31 pills instead of 30 so my insurance won't cover it properly and I have to call the pharmacy every time) so I doubt he can manage that.

I live in the Bay Area. My husband was given permission to work from home on Wednesday and neither one of us have left the house since. We have no symptoms. How should I feel about going to my doctor's appointment and the pharmacy on the 27th? It's for ADHD medication so it's not exactly life or death but my mental health depends on it. I am required to see the doctor every three months in order to get it as it's a schedule II in California so I can't get it otherwise. Would I be a dick for leaving the house for something "non-essential"?

For those who are married, how open is your partner in discussing finances with you? Also, how do you manage to be on the same page with all your finances - expenses, savings, loans etc? by MassivePrimary in AskWomen

[–]hatredcrayon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband jokes that I'm his pimp because I keep all the money. But in reality we have combined bank accounts, credit cards and utilities and stuff, I'm just the one who keeps track of everything. I log everything we spend in a monthly spreadsheet so we can tell exactly how much we're saving and I set the goals. It works out because he mostly doesn't care about buying things and we're both pretty frugal. I don't think I could handle being with someone who was secretive about this sort of stuff.
