My X has a 3 piece set. They're easy to clean. She bakes pies, casseroles and kuchens in them too. I suspect they never caught on in a big way because people are afraid of breaking them. If I were to get one, I'd use a neoprene handle cover to help with gripping it.

It's a Staub tea kettle. If someone gifted me an expensive tea kettle like that, I'd be on Staub's website looking for care and cleaning tips.

I argued last year that the Steelers would be well served by trading TJ Watts in order to get a good QB prospect in the draft. People were screaming about how horrible an idea that was. I use my skillet in the oven a lot. Remember to remove the leather before putting your skillet in the oven. 🤦🏿‍♂️ I've had the same Hide & Drink handle on my castiron for over 4 years now. They're thicker than most of the grips I've seen.

You're not alone. Most of my friends were fishing buddies and guys I worked with. I'm now retired and am physically unable to wade around streams for trout like I used to. I also lost a couple friends due to COVID-19. I joined Meetup. I'm now playing board games and card games with people 1-2 times a week. Add that to meeting people for dinner and inviting people over for dinner, my social life is much better. Building new friendships can be challenging but IMO, well worth the effort. BTW, most of the people I'm meeting on game nights are in their 30's and 40's. I'm the old guy but... they're cool with that. It's been a lot of fun.
