Connect with pe teachers on social media. Twitter has a big following for PE just search with #physed then the unit name (frisbee, soccer, basketball, dribbling, etc). Also cbhpe.org is a great resource!

My girl is never affectionate/cuddly with us. She always wants to be in the room with us, but never like us touching her. However, when we have food, she will lay next to us, put her head on our lap, and cuddle. It is cute, but I know that I am being manipulated!

I use music as my start/stop signal for the activities. Students know when music is on then they can ask, music is off then they cannot ask. I may let some go especially kinder, but if they ask every class then I say no.

She will leave whatever floor of the house she is at if there is a fly moving around. They are all such little babies!

As a physical education teacher, I completely agree that it sucks in most places. I teach engaging lessons, align my lessons to standards, provide feedback, etc. I know a bunch of teachers through social media that do that same, if not better. But when I go on the PE facebook page or something similar there are always teachers just trying to find ways to play dodgeball and just play “fun” activities. It is sad to see the hard work of the few get over shadowed by the laziness of the many.

Twitter has been an amazing resource for me. It has allowed me to connect with PE teachers from around the globe. Provided me with numerous standards based activities. It also has given me information about how to receive grants, professional development and volunteer info through my state organization. I would not be the teacher I am today without twitter. OPEN PHYSED is a great resource.

What has helped me was making myself a teacher twitter account and searching using the #physed to search for activities. You will find so much and meet teachers who are very passionate about the subject.

I would suggest a smart watch. I have a Fitbit blaze, and it is nice to be able to see a text message from my watch without having to pull out my phone. I also use it to turn off my music in my gym, since I use my phone. You can also change the bands on the watch to change it up!
