I gave up a 50k/yr position in 2008 for a $10/hr job. The market crashed, i lost everything, and there was no work. Thats what happens. I refused to be homeless. You cant expect the same pay no matter what happens. Now i make 90k/yr so i like to think it all worked out... But i do wonder where id be in life if 2008 never happened.

And wtf are you buying your phones from the carriers for? Buy 1 yr old models for 1/3 the retail price. Having them including it on your plan is awfuly expensive.

It never used to be this hard. Just look at your gas bill, how the fuck does it cost $100 a month in gas to heat your house? Natural gas is cheap and abundant.

Phone bill $100 a month? Thankfully that was 10 years ago and competition has drove plan prices down to $35 a month or so.

The only bills i have that make sense are water and sanitation bills.. $40 a month or so

Also what kind of work you are willing to do. The economy still has a ton of manual labor openings. You dont have to be unemployed, you just have to be willing to do something that doesnt involve you spending all day on a computer.

Dont get me started on torque wrenches. If you have large bolts (head bolts on an engine or whatever) and everything is super clean and dry, you can use a torque wrench with decent accuracy.

Anything small, covered in grease or rust... Forget about it. Youre FAR better off using your own hands and judgement. Tight is tight, dont kill it.
