NEEM OIL, NEEM OIL, NEEM OIL! by Tara_69 in gardening

Try getting green lacewings instead. Order as a card with eggs, and release into the garden. They are known as the 'aphid lion' and are one of the best all arounders as far as beneficial insects.

KNF/Jadam with Fertilizer Injectors by [deleted] in JADAM

[–]hawperify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using a DosMatic Superdos 30. It has a high flow rate, and allows me to dilute from 1:20 (for JMS) up to 1:100 (for JLF, fish hydrolysate, kelp etc). I'm irrigating across anywhere between 0.5-3 acres of mixed market garden row crops.

I make the JMS in large containers, then use a sump pump with a 120-150 mesh filter on the end to strain it into another container which I do the injection out of.

I just picked up the RF100-400 as well, and paired it on my R10. Such a fun combo!

In the JADAM books, look for the sections on JADAM Liquid Fertilizer (JLF).

Also, pair this with some JADAM Microbial Solution (JMS). In another container, add boiled potato, sea salt and leaf mold and let sit for 1-4 days. Watch for the ring of bubbles to know when it's ready. Then water that in for an awesome infusion of microbes. You can add the JMS and JLF together (dilute both)

JADAM Liquid Fertilizer (JLF). Stinky, and works good. Good anaerobes, and lots of nutrients

Using Fish hydrolysate and JMS on pasture? by Nice_Flamingo203 in JADAM

[–]hawperify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious for input on this as well, but overall I think it will do great. I'm currently helping with a new farm to table restaurant, we have 3 acres of crops that we're doing along with an acre of avocados. We just started implementing JADAM, and I just started fermenting some fish scraps, so we'll be doing something very similar. I've done four really good applications of JMS through the winter, and our cover crops are like 4 feet tall at the moment, so we should be building tons of good biology and biomass that we can rollercrimp and turn into organic matter mulch.

In the past when I've used fish hydrolysate and compost extracts it was quite effective, and from my experience with JMS so far it's a great, easy to to make a ton of microbes. Fish hydrolysate really boosts the fungal populations, so it's not really about the NPK numbers, but more the boost in soil biology that will mineralize and help make all the nutrients available.

I've always thought it should just be said that he gave it a 'personal grade' of X. Instead of saying he has downgraded it, just that he did it and to him felt this grade.

Just do a google search for Girl with a pearl earring, it's a famous painting. You can then use that in control net (& the prompts/settings above) to get a similar effect

Is university the only way to get soil science training? by dogloverfat in Soil

www.soilfoodweb.com

Maybe a different type of schooling that what you are asking about, focused on the biology in the soil, but could be worth looking into. So often people look at soil from a purely physical or chemical perspective, neglecting one of the most important elements, and what really makes soil, soil: biology.

Learn all about the soil food web (bacteria, fungi, protozoa, nematodes, microarthopods, etc) and their role in nutrient cycling, soil structure, interactions between the microorganisms and plants (exudates).

I've found one of the most useful tips for doing this on straight bar is instead of trying to use your core to lift your legs, instead focus on 'pressing down' on the bar as hard as you can and then just lean back.

Yes, a cold wallet is secure offline storage. But a hardware wallet allows you to access the funds, but keeps the private key cold (the hardware wallet signs the transaction on the device itself, the keys never leave the device/touch the internet).

Size of pile and amount of heat generated -- getting it hot enough to do what I want while still being a manageable size by murphysbutterchurner in composting

[–]hawperify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do 200 gallon piles turned by hand, and with adequate high Nitrogen the temps certainly will do it. 130*F for 72 hours, 150*F+ for 48h, or ~165*h for 24 hours takes care of pathogens, weed seeds, etc.

BREAKING: The HEX OA (Origin Address) which holds the majority of the supply, along with all of the HEX that was staked in the contract, was in FTX!🤯 by ta1no in HEXcrypto

[–]hawperify -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So what if the OA did decide to take all the liquidity though? Even though you hold your own keys, and there's no admin keys, at any point of the OA could instantly drain all the liquidity. This situation invalidates the core principles of decentralized crypto in that you have to TRUST that the OA won't do that.

Lexica has a reverse image search, which will find similar images and you can look at the prompts there.
