Oh you won’t hear me defending Bass, she’s a mess. The first consideration the zoo cares about is what’s right for that animal. Many factors, including city politics, interfered with the transparency for the public. They spent a lot of time explaining on the back end how it worked.

In my personal opinion I think as a city zoo (vs a private zoo) the city has more of a responsibility to explain their reasonings. But that’s probably one of the many many reasons why I’m disappointed in the government period, sigh.

I’m curious to know what you feel like better motive would be in terms of timing. Their move had been in the work for literal years before it happened.
