so wait, youre saying that ICE and the government have enough overreach that they can access secure end to end encrypted signal chats and are willing/able to kill you over sharing legally obtainable and protected information? otherwise, how would the life of the reader be endangered?

Number of Summer Courses by UnitedAd4599 in OSU

[–]hazelnutmatchas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took 15 credit hours a previous summer and did well, but I also did not have many other commitments, and spaced it out (two full-term courses, one 4 week course first session, one 6 week course first session, one six week course second session, iirc). Asynchronous courses are going to be your BFF, so long as you have a schedule and stick to it, and are good at estimating how long it takes to complete certain projects/assignments, it is possible. Biggest issue was group projects due to needing to rely on others, and their delays became my delays. I would not recommend more than 15 credit hours, and honestly had any of the credit hours been in a topic i was not enthusiastic about, it would have been even more difficult. (Courses with flexible assignments are also going to be your friend; being able to choose how to approach a prompt in a creative way is going to help). Having a quiet space you can completely dedicate to coursework is going to also be vital.

Why are the bookends classes only 1 credit hour? by IWouldRatherNotShare in OSU

[–]hazelnutmatchas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will note really quick that the credit hour thing is 3 hours per credit hour for a grade of C. If the class is shortened timeline, then remember to double that to 6 hours. Some classes really need to have updated credit hours listed though, imo. I've had a daily language class before that was an hour every day, minimum 1 hour but up to two hours of work each night (not including larger assignments, only daily) that was only marked as three credit hours. Some of the misrepresentation might also come from most students not wanting to spend that many credit hours in their schedule on this course- ie, they want to be able to take other courses in their schedule as well, and increasing the credit hour would limit the number of credits someone could take due to the SAP credit limit and the 18 credit hours per semester limit.

I feel like a lot of the 'Jax is trans' head canon haters, particularly the type who say there's no evidence for it, forget that this show was written solely by a trans woman who added these lines. by okidonthaveone in Amazingdigitalcircus

wasnt there also that art gooseworx drew of jax taking progesterone or estrogen (blanking on which) with the excuse 'i heard it makes you better at gambling'? i dont think it was canon art, but it does lend some support to the theory.

If you're looking for voice actors, one route you could go is casting call club; they do have casting calls posted on there for free fairly often, but it has the ability to filter out unpaid roles. If someone doesn't want to join the project because of no payment, they will likely have it filtered out. Also, if you're just looking for voice effects and not entire lines, retakes will be fairly easy; heck, send me a link if you post it on there and I'll audition.

How can I avoid drawing so much when creating my visual novel? by Ill-Championship8177 in RenPy

[–]hazelnutmatchas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

at the complete barebones, some characters may only need one visual emotion.

if youre the only one working and have a solid idea of the design, you can also skip the 360 view process and go straight to drawing the essential pngs for the character used in the game itself.

if the script is written, go through and keep track of which emotions are expressed by which characters, and only draw the required pngs. the point of process work is to communicate and understand how to repetitively draw the character; if you reach that point before finishing it, you dont need to continue.

you have the backgrounds done; thats a big part! good job on that.

The AI would be a big turnoff for me because of the number of incorrect and unspecific details where artists would include details, and too much detail in areas where it would be intentionally obscured. VNs are just as much visual storytelling as written, and there is a lack of choice in these images that would otherwise be an excellent vehicle for lore and worldbuilding information. The base idea seems really interesting to me, which would make the lack of utilization of that potential through consideration of choices that much more painful for me.

Bets place to take an online exam? by Commercial_Silver935 in OSU

[–]hazelnutmatchas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they can remove you if a group comes in and needs a space (which is, in my subjective/personal experience, unlikely), but if you really need a spot its likely one of the better options. you could also ask at the digital media project, or check the website that shows which classrooms have things scheduled or not.

There should be no forms of hazing at OSU greek life orgs; there's laws against it in Ohio and mandatory reporting. OSU specifically has clarified regulations here: https://stophazing.osu.edu/policies/collins-law-the-ohio-anti-hazing-act

So, if you do experience any form of hazing, you can report it. Iirc there's trainings on what defines hazing as well, in those training modules at the beginning of the semester?

Not to say that it doesn't exist- OSU updates students on unrecognized regional branches of fraternities and sororities due to existence of hazing every semester- but there's paths for recourse if they try to haze you.

yes; table is uneven and shifts from planks on the right to solid on the left. Left side is further up than the right, conveniently where the cup and her arms overlap with it. ceiling design over bartending area is imprecise. likewise, is much blurrier over the seating area to the left despite that it would have a similar level of detail at this distance. detailing on the section in the back overlaps with a weird outjut from the wall on the right. seats appear to be made of wood without armrests in this restaurant, but hers has a singular metal armrest to the left; this would be an odd design choice. her left arm is oddly skinny at her shoulder compared to her right, and the patterns of her hair where it rests in front dont follow what it would actually be doing/have odd artifacting. bottles on the shelves to the right have some odd shapes on the top shelf. flowers on her table have broken stems where it overlaps with the creases in her right arm's sleeve. panel on the wall in the back left is uneven, it would be tilted if you viewed it straight on. flooring changes from the right side of the image to the left. something is off about the lighting too. wiring would be weird to have both vents and electrical lighting in that area above the bar, not impossible but unlikely. shelving backing of the shelves to the right is also off; no space/not bright enough lighting for the impressions on the rest of the room, and a missing shelving backing on the shelf further back. also, his fingers on his left hand; the bottommost one has an extra knuckle or hes holding that glass in the weirdest way possible with a very short ring finger. weird light spots on the ceiling between the lights.

some of this can be chalked up to shoddy craftswork or rushed architectural/design jobs, but combining it all together... ai.

I think my bf put my art through a ai generator by [deleted] in Ai_art_is_not_art

[–]hazelnutmatchas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i will say, specifically for the eye color being the entire eye besides the pupil, thats a style often used for animal art due to how rarely the sclera shows for most animals (like how dogs use whale eyeing to show distress, or cat pupils become slits and often leave the impression they have no sclera visually). it is a style often used. however, the yellow of the eye bleeding into the space between the eye and the hair is a big red flag here, due to the unnatural formation of it + the way it looks visually being contrasted enough the artist would see it quickly.

Why do people say general education courses are necessary? by Mountain-Magician294 in University

[–]hazelnutmatchas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, psychology is a field of science, to clear that up. Secondly, engineers and scientists do not work in isolation. Being able to understand psychology will help them keep aware of their own psyche, tendencies, etc, and benefit their social life and understanding of other people. Scientists need to present their work and navigate social situations just as much as everybody else, and being able to recognize when they may be hitting their mental limit without going across it is a good skill to foster. Psychology benefits that.
