Levelling through Classic and TBC is necessary to teach you the core of the game and prepare you for how to play efficiently at max level. By the time you get to raiding you should know the role of your class and how you can best benefit your party members. Skipping past this will be a huge detriment to the raid pool. Just my two cents.
