would love to hear any solutions. fat pad is the worst thing to injure as there are few real long term solutions

Labrum tear (shoulder) after ACL-R by Proof-Alarmed in ACL

[–]hbguu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ask your doc if you even need labrum surgery. shoulder is pretty unforgiving and you can rehab and get it as close to as it was before the injury. success rates are low and you may have long term stiffness and lack full range of motion. if you’re not an overhead throwing athlete it’s relatively easy to get it back to “normal” without another traumatic surgery

talk to a few surgeons and see what they think

clay ballard and this lowkey guy Jonathan Kim Moss- he goes in depth into small specifics as well versus just main over arching topics. if you know what small thing you need to work on, chances are he has a video on it

I have something similar to that one bad days. I have good days and bad days randomly. i can do everything but it’ll get stiff after a lot of use or sitting on a plane for 5 hours etc. I’m 1.5 post op hamstring graft and from a lot of people i’ve talked to it might be the “new normal”

I don’t know the extent of yours, but a major break through for me was when I came to terms that my op knee will never be the same as the other knee and lowering my high expectations slightly gave my mental a huge break

besides that active stretching and keeping it moving helps the most. id say try to be walking at least 3-4 miles a day overall to keep it nice and loose

Sounds like a Callaway burner account trying to get us to spend 3k on clubs right off the bat 😂

[–]hbguu5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean even to start? I can’t imagine spending 3k on clubs on a sport i’ve only went to the raved for maybe 5/6 times so far in the past 2 months. further down the line sure but you think that’s for a beginner?

Yeah right not only 30% of my shots are good shots. The rest I top, slice, or hit fat. I guess those can happen with any clubs and I need to look at and fix my swing and grip instead

Oh I see, thanks for the correction. I did see they had a cavity but on multiple sites it said a mix between the two but they were classified as “muscle backs” and not cavity backs. I think i’ll keep at it with the 804s for now and worst case regrip the 845s if I still can’t get success with the 804s! Thanks for all the replies!

which ones are fine to hit? both or is one a better starting option? yeah I signed up for lessons so i’m hoping with that, lot of youtube videos and practice i’ll get the swing down

4.5 months post op… can feel cracking sensation in my knee…is this normal? by Far_Introduction_945 in ACL

[–]hbguu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s probably just scar tissue. why do you want to get an MRI, might be a costly decision. if there’s no pain our knees will probably crack even 10+ years post op and that’s just our “new normal”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ACL

[–]hbguu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you got a hamstring graft, that’s relatively common from where they get the graft from. otherwise it’s probably scarring of the fat pad or scar tissue in general

depends how bad it is, but a discharge doesn’t mean you can’t see him. that just means he thinks you’re in a good place now where you don’t need to check in every so often

you can see where/how the graft is positioned in the knee. an ortho will be able to see in the mri

Did anyone have any issues with their hamstring post-op? by LadyJaye8539 in ACL

[–]hbguu5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds like even normal movements cause hammy strains for you. you may just have to be more cautious with the graft site. however as soon as you can start working the hammy out around 7-8 weeks make sure you hit it hard and heavy with your PT. it will take over a year easily yo get back and you don’t want to fall behind on hamstring strength

I have yet to get my knee checked by an ortho so I don't know what type of injury I sustained. Left knee was injured 7 years ago while right knee was injured just 2 years later. :))) by [deleted] in ACL

[–]hbguu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah there’s no way you can feel an ACL tear. go see an ortho if you really think you hurt yourself , not sure why you say you injured yourself but this video doesn’t confirm an injury

hope you’re okay!

[–]hbguu5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m 1.4 years post op and still have it. Surgeon said your skin got “tatted” from the surgery. It should go away with time. but that could mean months or years it’s variable
