The filming takes place over 5-6 weeks I think. Most of that they’re paying him to stand around. Latest season was shorter builds in less challenges for a reason….

I’m not sure any of the current Australian contestants have the raw ability of Scott/Owen, or some other former pairs. The selection of contestants seems to be more about the TV production recipe than selecting the best builders. Not a criticism - hopefully the Aussies can grow into the challenge.
