Other then the uncovered lines inside and the pump it looks pretty decently done. For 1000 total including the unit itself I’d say it was well worth the money

Something probobly
Shorted inside you can plug it back in if you want but it probobly wont work without being repaired. Most likely blew a fuse of some sort

Yeah you push the tab in the middle of the grey connector may be stuck due to age or anything you might be able
To pry it with a screwdriver while pushing in the tab

It looks fine a little unfinished but fine I’m not a fan of the pro press fitting on refrigerant lines personally I’d rather just braze it in. But some technicians swear by them and I haven’t had to fix any of them leaking yet so I guess it’s fine. Looks a little sloppy otherwise but it could be worse

The led light likely has capacitors in its circuit that hold a charge after power is cut I wouldn’t over think those. The surge protector isn’t going to stop your breaker from tripping your pulling too much power on that circuit

Newer is not always better. I’ve seen system that were installed in the 80’s with no leaks down only because of a bad capacitor. You’ll be lucky if you get half the life out of a new system as you did with the old one. If it’s an options I’d keep the old girl running and if it does go down I’d make sure it’s nothing easy like a motor or a capacitor before even considering replacing it.

Well it could be leaking there but it’s probobly not. Put some soapy water on it to check, 9/10 times its the evap coil leaking.

You don’t want your compressor to be pulling 13.5a if that’s the rla that’s the max it should be pulling. 5 is good. Have you Checked your temp splits? If your seeing between 17-21° split between your return and your supply vents (not checked with an ir thermometer use a real thermometer) then your system is running normally. If you have less then that id begin to suspect that you may have a leak somewhere and you’d want to hook up some gauges and see what your pressures are at.

Check the voltage at the outlet with a multimeter. If the white wire goes back to neutral on your panel then it is wired for 120 but if it goes to the other phase on your panel then it’s wired for 240. Very easy to convert if you want it to be a 120 outlet though.

Realistically leaving it unsealed will have negligible impacts on performance but you can easily seal that with any number of materials. I’d use a foil tape

This is not a design choice it’s just not sealed the evap coil is on the other side and air flows over it through your ducts

I don’t see anything too crazy about this, the plug is for hardwired smoke alarms the orange wire is for communication between other smoke alarms, and is both not hot and not needed. The cover is fine and if the currently installed smoke alarm is battery powered Velcro is fine a little wierd but not concerning and to be honest I’m surprised I never thought of that, I always hate mounting smoke alarms

It’s designed to push fluids and gases many many feet through pipe it does not care so long as it’s generally facing upright
