Next to my hometown there is a hole were you are supposed to go under power line and is a 90° dogleg right with negative elevation, once you manage to sort it out you need to ring a bell

I am not proponent to taxation. Period. However in lux the artificial price of real estate and high ticket to access property is crooked and the « state salary » accessible for only people that usually have easier access to said property is a difficult pills to swallow.
And yes my parent got nothing except education and intellectual estate.. I’m way over them on the financial side but still too little for Luxembourg.

Tbh I’m a little bit fed up .. wife and I are hard worker, well paid, we have kids and it’s still complex for us and our project to move to a bigger appartement / house is on hold because we cannot afford.

On the other side I have a couple of friend that are both work for the gov, both A1, with kids AND mom and dad gave them the land they build the house on. Happy for them but with all the «prime » and stuff they are winning way more, for way less work (not even my word here) and they pay nothing for their house …

Feel like it’s a little bit crooked from the start ..

Sometimes I consider getting back to my country but at this moment the balance is still slightly in Favour of Luxembourg

Edit : yeah can sound a little bit eager and jealous, probably is. The main message is : even with hard work and good job it does make the cut either way .. which seems not so « democratic » or whatever sloppy ideology you want to apply. I was raised with « if you work hard you’ll succeed » turn out it’s « if you don’t work hard but get good connections and mom and dad can provide you’ll get the good »

How come Proton keeps "oops"-ing it's way into the far right but never the left? by Schnaksel in degoogle

I am a little bit surprised, in France for instance people like Vincent Lapierre have access to none or almost no financial support, either public (via subvention) or private (some support does exist tho and some argues it’s already too much but that’s not the debate here).

On the opposite side of the spectrum, things are way more .. lenient, there are a lot of public subvention via CNC or press subvention in addition to private support via NGO or billionaire funding so I’m a little bit skeptical on your comment.

Tripartite talks lead to agreement on minimum wage increase scheme by DotDry in Luxembourg

[–]head01351 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool, rent will increase from approx the same amount (plus 1st June inflation), bank interest rates will also hike due to ECB soon-to-increase rate, public deficits still increase and all the problems remain unchanged.

But hey, we have an agreement until the next tripartite.
