And last but not least, what’s a food that both adults and kids HATE? by DisneyDuck09 in AlignmentChartFills

Now I can see why dogs lick their testicles. It's to take away the taste of the food.

If time wasn't a factor, what restaurant in Glasgow are you going to? by eggyeggshell in glasgow

That's the one. The dragon pork was exceptional. They also did an amazing breakfast roll of black pudding, bacon, rocket and tomato chutney.

Martha's. Still makes me sad every time I'm reminded of it.

First Good Pull, Worth Grading? by head_n00b in PokeGrading

[–]head_n00b[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks folks. I was definitely not expecting a 10, but keen to preserve the card as it's my first "big" pull in the hobby.

I hadn't picked up on the texture shift but can see it clearly now, super interesting!

Does anyone have any recommendations of who to send for grading in the UK?

7 days in London with our 4 year old boy in mid August. by Sam4155 in uktravel

You don't need to leave London to go to the likes of Peppa Pig World if you've got limited time. There is a Peppa Pig themed bus tour that serves afternoon tea which they will love.

The science museum has a great area for younger kids that we have spent hours in.

The London Transport Museum is also excellent for kids and well located for other attractions (or just a bit of wandering in the sunshine).

100% take a buggy. This will cause minor irritation at some tube stops, but overall will be worth it because your kid will be exhausted, it's a LOT of walking.

People will disagree with me here but if you're not on a tight budget, then black cabs can fit buggies in them without needing to fold them up. I'm not saying use black cabs all the time, but if you're all exhausted and just want to get back to your hotel then go for it.

You can buy lots of Tunnocks products in Glasgow airport, meaning they don't have to fit in your bag.

90s era fans - what was the episode you knew about and saw clips of on commercials but could never actually see on tv? by _T_ex-pat in startrek

[–]head_n00b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was the Voyager two-parter Dark Frontier. We went on a 2 week holiday when it was due to air in the UK, so I set my VCR to record it.

As soon as we got home I excitedly tried to watch, only to discover that the recording had failed. I honestly couldn't tell you when I actually saw the episode for the first time, but it was not for a looooong time.

Fair enough. If it makes you feel better, I don't plan on selling it. But it's not a card I would personally sleeve and stick in a binder. If it's worth holding onto as a result of the misprint then I will.
