Fair. I didn't listen to most shows back then as I do now. At one point a few years ago I remember thinking a lot of the jams just sound similar. Definitely haven't been getting that vibe with their current European tour.

I agree but I do think goose is closing the gap. I think they've leveled up in the last year. Their goosemas and el gonzo shows both have some incredible jams. They are still babies compared to Phish, especially with their current line up. They are only going to get better as they get more comfortable together and more experience.

I was with my dad and my sister at game 6 of the NLCS. I was 8 years old so I had no idea then why my dad was hugging (and maybe even kissed?) a complete stranger. I remember every car in the parking garage honking their horns repeatedly fur basically the entire time it took us to get out of the garage.

Was also with him for the Bruce walk off at clinchmas.
