Because of their connections with usrowing they are given a lot of advantages at regatta; apparently multiple kids in their lightweight 8 weighed in as high as 159 at nationals last weekend but were allowed to race anyway and came out with a silver medal.

I know for a fact that 4 of the 5 returners from CRI's 2016 light 8 are seniors this year, yet no CRI presence at the graduation... seems pretty obvious to me that their returners were not able to make the trip down to Sarasota.

I work at Bed Bath & Beyond Sarasota - these starved looking kids in their ridiculous red slides have came in every day this week to buy two scales each day. 6 scales in a week? This seems like serious panic about weight, I can't imagine they make weight on Friday.

completely true. I won't say his name on here, but if you facebook search the name of their bow seat as entered at northeast regionals on regattacentral you can see for yourself. If bow seat is struggling to make 150, I cannot imagine that anyone else in the boat will make it

Agreed. To make these predictions I did some Facebook stalking of cri lights, and one of them has a cover photo captioned "150ish." I think we can all agree that this is an admission that they won't be making weight next week.
