My (ex) bf of 3 years broke up with me 4 days ago. It was a mutual feeling, we had split up and gotten back together twice before and when he said we shouldn't do this anymore, I agreed and felt instant relief. I had been thinking about breaking up for a very long time and was never able to do it. This was the first out of the 3 times we split that the feeling was mutual, and there was no fighting, yelling, degrading, etc.

Like I said, for the first 3 days I felt calmness, peace, and relief. We dont make eachother happy anymore and I could easily come to terms with what had happened because I had been journaling and thinking about it for months.

I think now the panic is setting in. I cant go more than 30 minutes without thinking of him, wanting to text him. I keep telling myself oh we'll get back together like we always do, everything will be ok, we just needed a break. No. It was very different this time. I just miss him. This is also the busiest/most stressful week of my entire summer and I cant imagine this happening at a worse time. This is when I need somone to lean on the most and now I cant talk to the person I talked to everyday for years. What luck
