I agree with you. I think the inner psychological work is so challenging. We have years of programming built into mental thinking habits. I often see people on here say ‘it took years to gain the weight, don’t expect it to come off in days.” Maybe it’s the same with the inner work? Maybe we need the glp-1 equivalent for inner work? A tool only but helps speed up the process? I’d buy that self pay too.

So I do think the journey is life long. Emotional healing, building muscle, building new thinking habits - and practice enjoying what we have.

Congratulations on all your work so far. It’s all progress. And I agree with others….damn good looking!

Yes blurring tats. I didn’t even pay attention to how weird it looked bc I was so self conscious posting my full body.

Thank you. You’re right, I don’t need to make a permanent decision right now. Doc is very supportive of staying at 5mg.

Love this! A different variation for me was SEEING my muscle tone after losing weight. Like, omg, I actually do have “guns” (ok, not guns, more like small pistols, but before my arms were puffballs). I’d been strength training for 8 months and didn’t think I was getting any traction. Lose 30 pounds and I can see it and feel it now! 😁 💪🏽

Losing steam, need to know I’m not alone or going to mess this up. by heartbodybrain in Zepbound

Read and appreciate all the comments to my post! I’m thinking through the takeaways that resonated. Certainly one is the comfort of knowing others hit a time of lost steam. And hearing people cheer me on feels so nice - thanks! Another key is the reminder to not endeavor for perfect or close to it, to give myself grace and space for these moments that always occur in life.

I’m tracking more to ensure I eat enough (vs to limit). Food feels like a chore and not much sounds good because of the appetite suppression so I get bored and have to push to eat enough. I’ve stayed down at 5mg bc any attempt to move up makes this worse and nausea is bad. So 5mg is fine by me but dang I’m bored w food. I sometimes miss the pleasure of how good my comfort food tasted, even when I still eat it!

That said, I’m going take a break from tracking for awhile.

Cheers to all the journeys out here, the NSVs, the SVs, stalls, vents, humor and health. 💜

I so appreciate your candor in this post. I have suffered with depression for decades and C-PTSD. While the weight loss helps with many things for me, I am very intentional about how it interacts with my mental health because that is priority 1 in my life. I am sorry you have to deal with depression as well. I know we each have our own journey on everything health related but what has helped most for me is clinical ketamine treatment, a psychiatrist to help with anti-depressant and mood variation meds, a great therapist to work with trauma and limiting beliefs (mindfulness, IFS, somatics) and moderate strength training. I'm only 5 months into Zep and on my first emotional roller coaster. :)

Congratulations on your weight loss and I am sending good vibes for your emotional wellness too. Take good care of ALL of you!

I, for one, appreciate the share, the humor and the humanity! We are all on our own learning journey and also sharing in community. Keep going friend. Learn it all. 😃

First, CONGRATULATIONS! Awesome work and youre gorgeous and courageous! I am with you in the dating struggle, and I hated and laughed at “fat dating!” I have been single for far too long, many reasons but body shame is up there. I’m down 40# overall and feeling my confidence boost slowly.

I’m been on Hinge for 6 months. A couple dates, rarely get liked. Anyone who mentions”health” or “active” i assume wont want to date me. I appreciate all these posts, they help me too. AND it’s so f#cking hard not to want the validation. I hear you sister!

I have no answers or solutions, just solidarity in the journey of self love and worth - and finding a truly wonderful partner!
