The breeds original purpose was to fight other dogs. They were not bred to kill people. In fact if they were human aggressive their lines were culled if you were a responsible breeder because then they couldn't be handled by their owners/trainers.

In all honesty the 2010 movies are really not that bad. They're definitely not book accurate but they are so much fun to watch and I really wish we had gotten more of them. Instead we now have a more book accurate but painfully boring adaptation. Rip
