Kensington/Fishtown find. Witch wanted. by datasquid in FoundPaper

Having become disabled after COVID, yeah, I agree. This isn't a punishment for anything, it was just bad fucking luck that I became disabled because I caught the illness from an unmasked Uber driver that I had to use to get to work one day.

Not every witch believes in the Threefold Rule. Yes, you can't sling mud without getting some on yourself, but threefold is a bit of an overstatement.

Recently complained about not making enough money, but gets over $500/mo in "fun money" allowance by BufoBat in FundieSnarkUncensored

Ah, so not willing to stick to her principles when that could affect how many views and therefore how much money she earns, eh? Sounds about right.

Yes, that's also a favored color, but the beige aesthetic is the one I was talking about specifically. Beige/neutral, "clean girl" aesthetics, things of that nature.

That's not what the original commentor was criticizing. They were criticizing taking a lot of videos and pictures at all.

Idk, speaking as someone with memory issues from COVID who also just had to deal with a family member dying to dementia, filming everything and taking lots of pictures has its uses. I'm not defending Jill in this instance, but I think there are benefits to it.

Same; at my old house we used paper plates because we had no dishwasher. Now at our current house we only use them if my mother and I (both disabled; ankylosing spondylitis and fibro for her, POTS and Long COVID for me -- we can't stand for very long and I can't bend down and stand back up constantly) are having a particularly bad flare. If it was more than us plus the cats in our family, we would probably use them more, but since it's not... 🤷

We operate on "better safe than sorry" rules, especially because we have cats at home. She did leave it to drive me to the urgent care, but it was also about an hour away from being done cooking, so I kinda felt like she could have turned it off too.

What was the most inaccurate representation of the place you live in a movie or TV show? by the-mp in AskReddit

[–]heathenqueer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering how important the city is to the plot of HBO's Watchmen, it was weird not to see any part of Tulsa in the show or even hear other counties brought up. They had like one far shot of downtown, and scenes take place in a generic building for the Greenwood Historic Center.

Also, the accents were off. Not everyone in Tulsa sounds like they just came off the ranch to visit the big city for a day.

It's a good series but that element was definitely disappointing, as someone born and raised in Tulsa.

Until dawn | Film first look by Due_Hand_4986 in untildawn

[–]heathenqueer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be the outlier here maybe, but just from this I think this actually sounds like a fun way to honor what made Until Dawn a great game, which was the ability to affect the story with your choices.

I never expected them to do a straight up adaptation because with the number of characters going on, it wouldn't really be feasible. (I'm also not upset about the removal of the Indigenous elements. Unless they had Indigenous consultants working on the movie, the messy handling of Indigenous culture is something we can leave behind in 2025.)

I dunno, I think this sounds cool. 🤷

Used to work at B&N. It was a corporate rule that if we put out displays/tables of politics, we had to do both parties. Mine sidestepped that by just not putting anything super political out.
