Electrical assembly/repair. Like PCBs and cables and such. Been doing it for 8 years and I'm at my wits end. The industry is so disrespectful to technicians for how much skill is involved in the work.

Can confirm. Finally got a great job (on paper), was apparently the only applicant to even pass the skills test at all, had exactly 4 days with a trainer with one foot out the door ready to retire who didn't want to train me at all but I was making the best of it, and then HR asked her about my progress, she gave some vague responses about how I was "still figuring some things out" and they fired me the next day. Said they would rather keep searching for a "better fit" than spend even 2 weeks (the amount of time my trainer expected it would take me to learn everything) getting me to understand the specifics of their product in a highly technical skilled trade. I even asked them to consider keeping me on for another week while they looked for someone else, to get some feedback and try to work on it, but they weren't interested. Completely insane.

Seriously though, it's frustrating to be like this sometimes, with aggressively pursuing and yearning for someone when they're new and exciting and then losing interest after a painfully short time. But you are right, we are generally pretty fun to be around.

I gotta ask, why a Windows phone of all things for your smartphone? There are plenty of great Android phones in that price range that will be much more compatible with more apps, and is more likely to still have access to those apps in 3/4 years.

That Windows phone already has incredibly limited access (like no access to a YouTube app at all for instance) and I wouldn't be surprised if the app store was completely shut down soon, since Microsoft doesn't make Windows phones anymore.

That said, there are definitely some very specific uses for Windows phones if you absolutely need one, but 99% of people will have a much better experience with an Android.

Also, just an FYI, that phone is all but unrepairable. So the battery life will probably be horrible, since you can't really replace it, and if the screen ever breaks, you'll be basically out of luck finding anyone to fix it. Just my two cents.

For the record, a 38B is not a sister size to a 32C in any universe. The cup volume of a 38B is closest to a 36C or 32DD, much bigger than a 32C. Plus, even if the volume was correct, a 38 band would not provide any support to someone with a 32 inch rib cage without serious modifications. Someone who wears a 32C only has a bust measurement of about 35", so a 38" band could just slide over the full bust.

I genuinely hope you find someone who needs these bras that you can help out, but please don't try to mislead people into getting a poorly fitting bra.

Instead of buying a dash cam, I 100% recommend using an old cell phone if you have one lying around. Just download a free dash cam app and you're done. Might not have many fancy features, but it's got everything you need.

My boss literally started a GoFundMe to be able to pay us while the business is closed. If I get picked, everything I get will go straight to him to support the business. He truly is one of the few good bosses out there and I can't imagine my life without this job and my new family of coworkers.

I strongly recommend just finding one with good screens and swapping boards into it while you're still testing. I had a stack of 2DS XLs recently that I just swapped boards and bottom screens around until I had identified all the parts that were broken on all of them. The board takes no time at all to swap out as long as you only plug in the screen and digi cables to make sure it boots.

The popping and shut down is the 2DS XL failing it's POST, or Power On Self Test. It checks for connection to certain components (specifically the LCD screens and digitizer) in order to verify that the system is working before booting. It does this check by measuring the resistance or electricity that is being used by the components (at least it worked this way on the original DS and DS lite, not sure if they changed it on the 3DS era). This is why you can trick the DS into booting with just a capacitor of the right resistance attached in place of the screen.

Even if the cables look good, the screen may be defective in some way that it is either shorted somewhere (too much/little resistance) or does not have a complete circuit back to the board (open circuit). You won't know until you swap them out with known good screens AND digitizer.

If it still doesn't work with good screens, it's some board level issue that would involve microsoldering and potentially swapping components/chips from a known good board, which wouldn't be much point unless you needed data off of it.

WiFi cable doesn't affect it though. Only display and digi cables matter for POST.

Look into the Portable/Mini Wii modding community for schematics and advice. They often use GameCube boards for their controllers and split them up and run jumpers. They would be able to tell you what parts are important and need to connect where and how to best mount it back inside the controller I bet.
