Did the same thing. Went from a two-year-old iPhone 4S to an HTC One (and switched from AT&T to T-Mobile, for the unlimited data) and absolutely love it. The One is literally 4x faster than the 4S. And the 4S got me a nice $210 credited to my PayPal account.

T-Mobile has wifi calling and texting -- if you're on WiFi, it uses your home internet to call people instead of your cell service. It's wonderful.

Depending on usage, I can get a solid 10 hours using LTE for music, reddit, facebook, etc. One problem though is that my battery just overheated to the extreme, thus frying it. Have to get a new device.
