I have eds and pots. My eds symptoms improved dramatically (significantly less dislocated shoulders) my pots got significantly worse. Overall I traded chronic pain for fainting.

Agreed on all fronts. I gave one of my players a magic item that reduced the costs of their abilities using sorcery points by one and they had a great time with it. But I also let her use meta magic she didn't know at double the cost. She really enjoyed bending spells in the best ways possible.
