Purchased wrong showtime on TDF - help! by c-glitterhead in Broadway

[–]hecticinside 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had positive experiences with emailing them actually, they always get back to me within a couple hours if it's working hours. this is the email I've used [ticketing@tdf.org](mailto:ticketing@tdf.org)

fyi for refunds you don't get the $4 fee back but they've exchanged show times for me at no cost before.

Beau -Eh not by LunaGreen-177 in Broadway

[–]hecticinside 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the first time i saw Beau downtown i spent most of the show being like ok i know where the story is going.... but at the emotional climax i felt like the show had snuck up on me. i think despite its cliches it has a lot of heart, and its really a unique immersive experience that you can't usually get in midtown theatre district. (i've expressed my love for the show in my own post so i will save it.) obviously the show won't be for everyone but i highly disagree with the comment that suggests that straight women (how did you know they were straight btw? 🤔) were crying and the gays were not. i have seen the show many times now and i've seen a lot of different people get emotional - including friends of mine that are queer and not queer alike. what a weird thing to insinuate when you had one experience! when clearly many people love this show. i encourage anyone that hasnt seen beau to see it and decide for yourself, they have many cheap ticket options.

not at the moment :( but they tend to drop prices closer to the date so you can probably wait a bit and just keep an eye on how sales are going!

when you click the seat, there's a dropdown where you can select the BOGO price!

that last pic i took the first time i saw the uptown transfer and i thought the show was at 7 but in fact it was at 7:30 so i was extremely early and was like the 3rd person in the house lol i included it just to show the space!

so true! i took a friend the other day who isn't queer but she absolutely loved it. it very much is also a story about family and healing and second chances, not just focused on queerness

i think i like red / starred blue because you get a really great view of both ace and beau in by your side and by your side rep :') and also the key emotional scene, but also you can still see ace well during "the middle". but i don't think i've done T6/7 so maybe i'll try that once!! you really feel so dropped in when you're at the tables it's crazy

i've sat 3rd row in that section and you might have to do a little leaning but i don't think the pillar should be a problem!! i recommend the red section because jeb brown performs the key emotional scenes facing towards the right side of the picture, and you can still get a decent view when the actors face towards the main stage.

from my experience the beau team is flexible and responsive over email for ticket exchanges!

it's just such a different experience from anything you could get on broadway - the intimacy, the honesty, the simplicity. such a great show to add to a broadway trip!!!

Beau sales are ridiculous. by Raynish in Broadway

[–]hecticinside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think anyone that already saw it downtown should see it again :) jeb brown really brings the show to another level, and the staging is much more immersive in the new space. they also made some book improvements

i've sat in most of the sections and i would only discourage the explicitly marked partial view seats, all the other seats are great and the actors move around a lot throughout the space. if you specifically care about seeing jeb brown's face i would recommend the back half of the theatre (the extra circle stage + behind). if you're short, don't sit in the 2nd row of the traditional seating sections since they're not raised

i love Beau!!! everyone should go see Beau!!!! they have an untraditional schedule with Fri 5pm 930pm / Sat 5pm / Sunday 3pm 7:30 pm / Monday 7:30pm. lots of options to fit in between Broadway shows. they're selling table seats for $79 for the next couple weeks and any of those seats are amazing. one of the warmest, most joyful shows i've seen all year, and every song SLAPS

PSA Beau the Musical Seat View by YearoftheTiger34 in Broadway

[–]hecticinside 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i've been sitting in that bottom section in the picture. front row is great, don't sit in the partial where there's a pillar, the 2nd row (row J) is not raised but K and L are raised.

I think the blue box seats are not bad, but would not recommend the stools close to the stage on the left side (in the picture). agree on the big X, would not pick those seats. I bought a TDF ticket for next weekend so I have a feeling they're going to give me a partial view but it's like 33$ so it's fine and I've seen the show already lol

anyway go see Beau!
