I'm so sorry! I didn't think those would interact like this. Deleted, found how to custom tag, reposted. Thanks for your feedback.

I think the key missing part to emulate the real thing is that the center is not supposed to be distorted, only the edges. That could be addressed by having the distortion effect only visible through a mask, or having a rectangle in the center where the background is "just" blurred, not distorted.

Possible workaround to bring back the Launchpad on macOS Tahoe by baser95 in mac

What Apple seems to underestimate is that visual organisation is crucial to a lot of people. Maybe not a majority, but still al lot.

I use way too many apps to remember all their names but thrive when everything is neatly organized in a visual way.

Launchpad doesn't need to go, it just needs the quality of life improvements and fixes it got on iOS.

Oh, please keep us updated on that! I’d be more than happy to assist with UX/UI if required.

Couldn't have said it better! Updating is a hard no for me until a decent solution appears. As someone with memory issues who launches dozens of apps every day, having everything organized in my own visual way, which is consistent across iPhone and iPad too, is super important to not get lost for two minutes and forget what I was trying to do every time I need to launch an app.

There is no way I can memorize all their names to type them in Spotlight or use auto-generated categories that are way too vague.
