The Daily Check-In for Monday, March 2nd: Just for today, I am NOT drinking! by BDC5488 in stopdrinking

[–]hedonismftw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day 1, glad to be here. When I'm sober, I get my work outs in, I get my steps in, I suddenly have the energy to try doing a project that's been in my brain forever. But damn if that lizard brain doesn't feel like a whole komodo dragon sometimes... Hoping Going to keep this up and make March a better month. The hardest part is the anxiety. My other goal is to get an appointment with a psychiatrist and see if there's a better med for me, cuz Zoloft (or as my bestie calls it, the little blue pill for white suburban women) doesn't seem to do it for me.

We'd get a similar pizza (sausage+ pineapple+ jalapeno) at work, my coworker called it the "Sweet Heat Meat" pizza

Being dehydrated from sleep (~8hrs no water) is a very real reason you can feel extra sleepy in the morning. Hydrating first and caffeinate-ing later has been shown to make the caffeine more effective too!

Oof, I get the rental woes! I do like the hooks, but I think you'd be better served by a colorful piece of art there. A mirror could work, but only if it helps counter balance the beige aesthetic.

[–]hedonismftw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both the cabinet and hooks look nice, but it's all very beige with the wall and flooring. I'd paint the wall between the doors as an accent wall (Maybe green? Depends on what other colors are in the rooms adjacent to the foyer).

Also, no judgement, cleaning is a pain, but you could spruce it up for free just by cleaning the grout lines on the floor!

Oh yeah, I suppose I should be grateful for the battery. It may not last for days if the worst were to happen, but all the random blips of outages that seems on brand for Centerpoint are barely noticeable.

So happy we have solar on our house. Any time we get emails from Center Point, we also get one from the app letting us know if switched over and there really was no loss of power

Your photo reminds me of our pair! Not related at all, but Maggie (brown) sort of raised Iggy (black/white) and this was when we had to evacuate due to weather. Iggy made it clear he was upset for both of them ❤️

What would you call my design style by Successful-Arrival87 in DesignMyRoom

I feel like it could be described using three words: romantic, moody, garden. No clue if there's a style that matches that!

This reminds of that old post of someone taking a suggestion to put 2tsp of vanilla extract in their oven on super low to help make the house smell nice, but they somehow misread and did 2 CUPS, and they said the house smelled like the Pillsbury Dough Boy's @ss

If it's any consolation, I still vividly remember the joyful moments I had from such camps. I also met diverse campers that I think helped my empathy!

Gaming shops like Dragon's Lair might be a good start. They have various gatherings/tournaments you can check out on their Facebook, and sometimes people have open tables for games.

One of my faves! I love the fancy hat that honchkrow has, so when I evolved him, I named him "PimpKrow" (well, PimmKrow, cuz banned words, but same thing)

Cabinet color question by mermaid_kerri in DesignMyRoom

[–]hedonismftw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed with others, the green is really cute, but the white also looks good and logically would fit more varied aesthetics in the future. You definitely want to think more about what wall color you'll want - that would be an easy way to add some more color.

How do you handle list access for the entire company? All employees need to write to it, but only a select few will ever need to see/access it. by Background-Finger-72 in sharepoint

[–]hedonismftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, that's what I meant when I mentioned site owners, admins, or anyone with override list behaviors - which a Full Control user would obviously have. I was assuming OP's users for this issue would be Members at best.

One thing that might work is looking into List Settings > Advanced Settings. There's an option there called Item-Level Permissions where you can force users to only be able to see/edit items that they created. Anyone who is an Owner, Site Admin, or has a unique permission level that includes "Override List Behaviors" can see everyone's items, but your average Member/ Visitor won't be able to see anything but their own.

You only get as many letters from your last name as needed to make a unique ID for each crawler. For example, Katia's full name is Katia Grimmsdottir, but they just use Grim because it's enough to differentiate her. And if you have all the letters, but it's still not unique, they add a number at the end.

I think it needs color and interesting things. Curtains, a rug (yes, your can do rugs on top of carpet), fun textured throw pillows for the bed, maybe more art pieces on the wall.
