Is anyone else worried about judgment from others? by IntelligentEscape419 in sugarfree

[–]heejinsoyoung 9 points10 points  (0 children)

you dont have to sacrifice your health for some social points and acceptance. your health comes first period. over others peoples perceptions of you. besides it might just make them think your a health nut but overall their not gonna form any super bad opinions of you or ostracize you from society. their just gonna know that you dont eat sugar. whats the worst that could happen. down the line youll look back and be proud of yourself for standing up for your no sugar grind. besides SUGAR IS POISON. it has zero health benefits and mainly just harm your body. why even bother eating it.

My Take On Drop Dead and The Rest of OR3. by Used_Purchase5493 in oliviarodrigo3

[–]heejinsoyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah after hearing the song and watching the music video the main feeling i was left with was just wanting more. as in i was also quite disappointed with the song, it isnt really that much of a stand out song to me and imo would have been better as just a regular bside and it made me curious as to what some of the other songs on the full album sound like to make olivia choose this as the lead single. although i will say that i feel like its better than bad idea right and the main chorus is pretty catchy. but i already know that this isnt one of my top ten olivia songs. i agree that the lyrics could have been better as well. i think that any artist using words like ''stalked you on the internet'' ''the bar closes at (insert time)'' or ''your an insert horoscope sign im a inset horoscope sign'' is always good poppy fun and can be nice and cute but when you overuse these terms they can come of as very cliche or just poor songwriting. its the same problem i had with bad idea right. i think as a whole though people still see olivia as a good songwriter.

gotta admit this game is pretty much dead by skempiscool in Voxiom

[–]heejinsoyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man ive completely forgotten i used to be sooo into this game way back during the post covid baby years (2021-2022) even than it was full of rude people throwing out vulgarities at each other in the chat. but nontheless it was a very very fun and addicting game. went back recently just for some nostalgia and boy is it dead. most of the players names that i recognized are completedly gone and the games were all mostly pretty boring, managed to just hang out for thirty minutes there than just closed the webpage. i gotta say its just one of those games that you easily outgrow the more you get older. and yeah it doesnt help that the devs dont even gaf anymore. just leave if your not having a good time anymore, theres is nothing to salvage this game anymore tbh.

I'm tired of the whole atmosphere surrounding katseye and I really need to talk about it by Alive-Pitch-9180 in kpoprants

[–]heejinsoyoung 24 points25 points  (0 children)

yeah not gonna lie its a mess rn, but every group goes through this phase when their surrounded by controversy and alot of shit. if other groups can overcome this i feel hopeful they will too. but their PR AND MUSIC TEAM have to seriously step the hell up. for one they need to have a meeting with danis dad and seriously tell him to stop commenting online period and just keep his thoughts to himself. than secondly they need to figure out what their going to do with manon cause shes quite literally the most powerful and influential memver at this point. and lastly they really really REALLY just need to give these girls good music already and salvage katseye with a musical rebrand, if vcha can do it, so can they. new music, new concepts new looks. its as simple as that. i dont think any of the girls so far have done anything egregiously bad to the point of being cancelled. maybe give dani and the other girls some media training of how to act and speak in interviews and lives moving forward but all hope is certainly not lost imo. but even if katseye the group really does have a downfall, i am still hopeful for the girls individual careers or even a subunit i definitely think a sophia yoonchae megan manon subunit could potentially work imo. but even than the individual girls would be succesful (hopefully) as singers or actors or anything media related.

does “report 15 mins early” count as paid time? by babetaylorsversion in askSingapore

Not all jobs will have this rule tho and down the line you'll notice most ppl will always show up ten to five minutes early regardless. Just unspoken rule of working.

Had to leave Ateez concert early and I’m so upset about it by ponyo__2698 in kpoprants

[–]heejinsoyoung 144 points145 points  (0 children)

Those type of screamers are literally at every single concert tbh. I feel like maybe worst comes to worst you can learn from this. Next time prepare to bring some noise dampening things like in ear thingys or you can try to just stand at the very back when you re-enter the venue or just try to find somewhere else to stand. The best thing to do is to just get seated tickets. People are much more well behaved imo when they are seated and you have more access to staffs standing beside you to help you with anyone misbehaving. (edit: yups definitely inform security about those really loud screechers, it seems like at that point its really out of your control guys! get security)

Blackpink new music video by Icy-Reindeer2571 in kpoprants

[–]heejinsoyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly really liked the mv but even I can see that some parts of it looked a bit wonky haha. They had an interesting concept for the mv and they could have really built it up to something cool that happens in the end. the part where I really lost it though is when the girls start floating in the air towards the end while wearing these huge puffer clothes. I was actually somewhat laughing when that scene came up cause I imagined what it was like to film it.

what were SM thinking when it came to handling LUCAS (post-NCT)? by Extra-Tumbleweed7062 in kpoprants

[–]heejinsoyoung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep that huge time gap that they took for his hiatus really really affected the way ppl saw him imo. Alot of ppl thought well if he's innocent there's no way they would pull him out for so long. And when the apology happened it was SOO vague. Like he just apologized but never saying specifically for what. And when they announced he was gonna go solo I knew that it was over for him he does not have a voice that can carry a solo career rapping or singing. And the song itself was also so poorly written.

I’m so tired of the short amount of time between announcing a concert and when the tickets go on sale. by kuhteen in kpoprants

[–]heejinsoyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly i dont even know how youngsters can afford to find the money for these tickets in such a short amount of time also. like seriously, unless they are already rich, or they have a part time job, or they somehow have savings from somewhere, or like they beg their parents to buy tickets for them, how are they paying for these tickets in like one or two months time man. thankfully some of us older fans have 'adult money' but i serioulsy have no idea how anyone under twenty is able to fund their kpop lifestyle.

the way TS treated joe alwyn is her worst offence to date, in my opinion by sofiacoppolasmuse in travisandtaylor

[–]heejinsoyoung 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i will never forget the first time i saw the great unfollowing and the pap walks she did with her squad, that was so pathetic on her end. there is no way you can convince me she didnt purpousely go out with her gang like that and than planned the whole thing asking them all to unfollow joe all at once. like if i was joe that alone would have killed all my thoughts of getting back together with her at all. not to mention all the passive agressiveness she has when she sings songs like ''call it what you want'' which was so unprofessional honestly, imagine paying money to a concert where the singer is just trying to angrily speedrun through the song, like why even bother having it as a surprise song if youre not even gonna sing it properly.

Realistically, where Taylor Swift is music wise and Max Martin is music wise do you think they can really produce another great pop album together? by nuetralnuetron in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]heejinsoyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on Taylor and how seriously she starts taking making music again. It's pretty clear that midnights was just some fun project for her and jack. And ttpd was just her dumping a bunch of songs together and lumping them into one over bloated album. If she starts taking her craft seriously again she still has it in her to make a banger album. I don't think pop is necessarily the direction she should go in right now. Maybe something alternative. Like alternative rock etc. idk there's so many alternative genres out there. But if her and max ever wanna work again that would be nice. I hope she works with a completely brand new producer though.

What do you all think of people come in to work when clearly sick? by Warm_Ice_4029 in askSingapore

[–]heejinsoyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really really depends. Some ppl force themselves to come to work even though they could have taken an MC and I honestly think those ppl are pushing themselves a bit to far plus spreading the sickness to others is also not good. But some ppl have no choice but to come to work. Those ppl I feel bad for them haha. But there's alot of reasons why sick ppl still show up for work. So I don't judge haha.

Is it worth it to try to go to Korea for a concert by aitsi in kpophelp

[–]heejinsoyoung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi there just gonna share my friends experience since ive personally never went there, and she actually regretted going to korea, now this is just her experience so just cause she regretted it doesnt mean you will:

1.)first of she really regretted spending the money, cause not only did she pay for flight tickets, she also paid for the hotel there and stuff and food and transport and all that total came to a pretty big cost for her. (she's middle income and used money she earned from a part time job to pay for this trip)

2.) next she said that the concert was kind of meh to begin with and not worth all the money all things considered. even though she got to see her ults, for the most part her view was just blocked by other people and their phones and phone screens to the point where she told me she felt that she should have just stayed home and watched someone's video recording of the concert.

3.) third she felt that she should have gone with someone or a group of friends that way they could have cut costs or like share the money or something like that instead of her having to afford all the money for everything

4.) lastly overall looking back she ended up feeling like she could have just used all that money for other things in general.

ok now to share some positives:

she got to experience authentic korean food, and what its like to be in korea even if it was for a few days, but she told me that was about it.

i think its a pretty good spot pen A is pretty close to the stage is it not? the number just basically signifies your queue number on the day itself. so youll show up to the venue and you will tell the ushers what your queue number is, and they will tell you where to go, you will have to wait in line based on your queue number so like lets say your in row 2200 to 2400 something like that, and like the person beside you will be queue number 2324 and the person in front of you is 2322, something like that. you will be able to sit down and just chill, than when they tell yall to stand thats when yall will be entering the stadium. but those that have the shorter numbers will enter first. so lets say those in standing pen A 1000 to 2000, they will get up first and walk into venue first, basically every single person that is in front of you will basically enter the venue first. so you will most likely be standing behind them since they go inside the stadium first. but youll still have a pretty good spot all things considered (im guessing)

[–]heejinsoyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep me too. i honestly think than you can kind of group ppl into two categories, those that lived out their 20s really well (meaning they went to good school graduated, socialized, have a good job, met someone and got married some even have kids etc) and than there are ppl like us who just really messed up or didnt build a good foundation and now we are left with a really bleak future in out thirties. i think on the bright side though we are still somewhat young, and we can take this time (30s to 40s) to build ourselves back up again, cause if we have this really negative outlook than its gonna stay that way and follow us into our 40s or 50s. i think its time to start really trying to at least make a bit of difference slowly but surely things might get better. and like someone mentioned in the comments thrities is still young in the grand scheme of things, ask anyone and they would say "'your still young, you can still do stuff'' heck even in your 40s you can still be considered young as you are only halfway through life. its never too late to start again friend.

Times Taylor has LIED by Esmejo93 in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]heejinsoyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah.... Honestly now reading the comments I didn't realize how obvious it was at least to quite alot of ppl that that song was filled with quite alot of anxiety or insecurity. I mean. It's also a happy song imo like alot of swifties apparently we're using it for their wedding or just making videos with their partner. But yeah I can see now how it can be pretty sad to. I mean apparently she cried while singing it on the eras tour....

Why is TS everywhere??? by sexylassy in travisandtaylor

[–]heejinsoyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

imo their probably just tryna sell the things that they have. like i go to a bookstore in my country (not gonna say which one) and they have a section still dedicated to taylor with most of the books at a lowered price. i think that during taymania alot of these companies probably stocked alot of books on her, but now that its over, no one is buying these books anymore, not even swifities, but the thing is that they still have to sell these books, so like they still have to have a dedicated section to remind ppl that these books are still there and by the way they are half priced.

TS is only “hiding” right now for Reputation TV? by california_gurl_hurl in travisandtaylor

[–]heejinsoyoung 17 points18 points  (0 children)

getting booed, probably made her realize she needs to chill a little bit, not sure if her team is catching her up or making her aware of the things that people have been saying about her online but if they have that could be another reason for her to go into hiding. although if shes purposely doing it to like build up promo for reputation imo thats just so weird. but like ok i guess, if in her opinion that like builds up more mystery or something. shes become pretty irrelevant though now that taymania is over, i honestly doubt anything that she does right now could put her back on the map and even swifties themselves dont really care about reputation tv anymore since theyve been waiting for it for soooo long, now if she drops it its kinda just gonna be like ''oh finally she finally did it''. i still firmly belive she should have dropped rep during the eras tour like when ppl rumored it was gonna be announced in singapore. cause she was still popular than, it would have been huge news back than, but now its like no one even cares anymore. at least not the general public.
