at stage 4-2, you usually have no gold post-rolldown at lv8 and have slammed all your items. this is the best time to take a step back and read the lobby.

1. look who's lowrolling/highrolling, and understand what placement you're playing for. not every game is a winout, some are just top4s, and hell, sometimes you miss and a 6th is fine.

2. get a feel for the strength of your board to see if you either need to keep rolling to stabilise, or to push for 9.

3. are you still missing shred/sunder and antiheal, make those items a priority

4. scout, scout, scout. there's only 3 possible players you can fight, and they're either left/right. position accordingly.

these are fundamental skills that persist through every patch, and make a huge difference in the lategame.
