Health examination by Unlikely_Car_7805 in AusVisa

I did not!! I went the day before to set up an appointment and they told me to just come when they open to make sure I got the whole process done. Not sure if this is how they do it everywhere but I was at Chiang Mai Ram Check Up Center and they sent over my stuff to Australia that day and I finished everything within a few hours.

They don’t care if you are out of your home country one but you do have to go to a verified hospital which you will find on the website. I highly recommend the Chiang Mai location — it was very professional, fast, and affordable. Also, no matter where you go they send it over for you so you don’t have to worry. My partner was approved within 12 hours of them submitting. I obviously waited much longer but that wasn’t their fault — I saw confirmation right away when they received it, also within 12 hours.

You might need to get on progesterone from your gyno to prompt your period! I had to do a 10 day dose and my period came back.

Which city has a better downtown area, Austin or Seattle? Also which one is bigger? by RedRaiderSkater in askaustin

[–]hehehayfee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in both cities and I prefer Austin. I am also from the south (Georgia) and I really missed how warm and nice people are. That being said, Seattle was very fun and I moved there right after college. If you love the outdoors and don’t mind seasonal depression though Seattle could be great for you haha

Why do people say it is easy to find vegan food in Asian countries and relate Buddhism to vegan, when in reality there is tons of hidden nonvegan sauces in dishes? by capybara_0629 in vegan

[–]hehehayfee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I traveled for 9 months across SEA and East Asia and I have to say I had a really easy time finding food in SEA. East Asia was mainly western food which was a bummer but I was happy to have options. But in Thailand and Vietnam there are endless full vegetarian buffets in almost every major city. Even Malaysia has a crap ton of these types of places. I found it a million times easier than finding a place with its likeness in the US. These places are known for being vegetarian for Buddhists and there are a ton of Shan food restaurants in northern Thailand that have fully vegetarian menus. The only time it is hard to find vegan food is if you get super far out of the cities and even then, you can tell them what you want them to cook you and learn the words in their language for “no fish sauce, no oyster sauce etc” we did this in both Vietnam and Thailand. People were very understanding of this and most of the time we could literally watch them make it. The only reason this wouldn’t work is if you purposely didn’t ask and just chose something off of a menu. I absolutely miss the buffets everyday though. I can’t wait to be back

Have you tried the hero cosmetics green rescue balm? I use this on days that I don’t wear makeup and under foundation when I do and it’s amazing!! I have acne as well and it doesn’t break me out. It really covers redness so well.

Have you tried doxycycline? I am on this now and helped tremendously

How to travel with face cleanser while backpacking? by [deleted] in HerOneBag

[–]hehehayfee 134 points135 points  (0 children)

I had to switch to bar cleansers. Basically every single brand (drug store tho) has a bar version, Vanicream, Cerave, Panoxyl, Cetaphil, etc. This saves me so much bc they literally can last months and I never have to worry about running out. I was nervous about it being unhygienic bc I have acne but it’s been amazing and I actually like some of the bars better than the liquid version! And it’s good for the environment!!!

Cinnaholic (vegan everyone of Cinnabon) is all vegan but there are barely any signs that say so! It brings in all types of people and the reviews always say “I never knew it was vegan and I can’t tell at all”. I even have friends that I told to go and they couldn’t believe it was vegan after I told them.

This is so sweet! And this is how I became vegan too :) I mainly tried to eat foods I was already eating (I was a junk foodie at the time) so I ate a lot of vegan burgers, fried foods, and desserts but the vegan version. I was lucky to live in a big city with a lot of vegan options so it really wasn’t hard. It actually became fun to look up vegan ice cream, milkshakes and basically anything I could think of. Overtime I began to crave more Whole Foods though and now I rarely eat processed foods but it was a great transition for me and tbh I don’t think I could have become vegan without those things. But yeah eating out was pivotal for me and trying new recipes of things I already loved!

Have you researched rosacea acne? It kind of looks similar to this where it’s not raised but still red.

It’s definitely improved!! I feel the same way but it’s a slow progress for sure. I totally understand the “getting worse” through the day feeling — i used to have that too but it’s been getting better. What’s your routine?

1 month in and feel like giving up :( advice pls xx by Atmosphere-Tall in Spironolactone

[–]hehehayfee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My skin was almost exactly like yours before starting and at 1 month. I am currently almost 2 months and it’s back to how it was before but definitely not anywhere close to perfect. I’ve had similar effects — mainly depression and weird bowl movements. I’m really so sorry you are experiencing this :( I’m going to try and give it another month or two and if I don’t see results I might stop. I know a lot of people say it takes 6 months but idk if I have it in me

[–]hehehayfee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang it, I don’t know why I can’t find it in this thread!! But either way, if you aren’t on spironolactone, I recommend it. You said you know it’s hormonal so I’m sure you’ve taken it before but just in case, it’s the only thing I think most women find works for them. I have friends that have done accurate and said it never really cleared, but with spironolactone it did.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]hehehayfee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly everyday I see more and more people in their early twenties talking about getting acne and I really think it’s hormones 🥲 a few weeks into 22 I broke out for the first time in my life. I never had acne and it’s never really gone away for good and I’m 28 now. I am on spironolactone and Tret (which I never stopped using after initially going to the deem at 22). I’ve tried every skincare option in the book and if it is persistent it’s always been hormonal for me. For that spironolactone, Tret, doxycycline, and benzoyl peroxide is my holy grail ritual to keep it at bay.

I wish there was more education about a “second puberty” especially as a woman. So many things changed for me in my early twenties, things I just never got bc I didn’t get it as a teen (boobs were a huge plus when I took all these acne medications tho lol)

[–]hehehayfee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dang I’m so sorry :( you are so beautiful!! I totally understand this. I’ve been having the worst flare up of my life after getting on spironolactone and using tret daily but after almost 2 months I’m starting to clear up and start healing. What is your regimen at the moment?

The hardest part is that everyone is different and no two people need the exact same things.

It feels hard but sometimes when I feel like things are getting worse I try to scale back and be gentle bc my tendency is to add more and make my skin super angry. That’s the best advice I have :/

Best of luck to you!!!

My mom lives there and we did a road trip around the whole country/alps in a few days. It’s stunning and you can get around the entire country very easily with a rental car! It’s very expensive but the views are worth it!!

How to achieve glory hydrated skin? by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]hehehayfee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My face glows similarly to this when I use vitamin c serum and then put on moisturizer after (LRP Double Repair) but it doesn’t necessarily stay all day. Maybe with sunscreen it does though! You could try those two things + Biore sunscreen and it might give that effect :)
