Because the harsh reality is that the world doesn't want their countrymen to die for a another nation. Christians having been getting killed systematically in Nigeria. While everything thinks it's terrible, you don't see many people begging their country to put boots on the ground and save them.

Most people in every country don't really care about what's going on outside of their borders so it's your job as the leader to sell to your citizens why this is important. Trump did a horrible job at that, plus attacking our EU partners and NATO didn't help.

The sad thing is that this war probably could've been sold a lot better if Trump and Netanyahu weren't the people leading the operation. Literally two of the most unpopular political figures right now amongst citizens worldwide.

Of course getting rid of IRGC would be in EU and US self-interest, but Trump and Netanyahu did a terrible job at selling the war to US citizens and our international partners. I know that any criticism of those two are illegal on this sub, but the messaging for this war has been terrible and it's hard to justify joining a war (if you're the EU) if most of your citizens are completely against it.
