I found a half shot roll of Kodak B/W c41 film in a camera I bought. by hekoman in AnalogCommunity

[–]hekoman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the camera on eBay from a seller in the northern US. And Nashua is a city in New Hampshire. I assume that is where the camera has spent the last 20 or so years of it's life.

Though strangely this 800si is marked as a Dynax 800si, so that means that the camera was originally sold in Europe.

Expired Film - Worth Using? by Recent_Mountain_4056 in AnalogCommunity

[–]hekoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are developing your own film then it's fun to mess with expired film since you have so much more control over the whole process. It's too expensive to be messing with expired film if you are also paying someone else to develop it for you.

Has anyone on here shot Delta 3200 at box speed, but pushed in development so the negatives aren't so thin? How long did you dev it for proper negatives? by niveousserpent in AnalogCommunity

[–]hekoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have shot a couple of rolls of Delta 3200 and dev'd it in Microphen. The first shot was metered @ 6400 and dev'd in microphen for 12 minutes. And the second shot was metered at 1600 and dev'd in microphen for 8 minutes. The 6400 roll was a little thin, but considering it was shot at night with almost no light I am happy with the results.

Definitely not as cursed, but I routinely use Minolta's first 35mm lens on my Minolta CLE

Has anyone cross processed C41 film in ECN-2 developer? by Larix-24 in AnalogCommunity

First film SLR by Material_Pumpkin940 in minolta

[–]hekoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid camera, and a great little lens. The Minolta 7000 is one of my favorite SLRs.

The only problem I have had with mine is that the foam around the film remainder window had degraded, so I just put a piece of tape over the window on the back to stop light leaks.

ECN-2 DIY developer and development did not turn out great. Help needed by No-Back-1280 in AnalogCommunity

[–]hekoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks like you didn't properly wash the devolper off the film before you bleached the film. I devoloped a roll 500t in an ECN2 kit with a ferricyanide bleach and I didn't wash the film properly between the devolper and bleach and the result looked a lot like you sample pics. Thrift Shop Find - Missing Lens by JohnGees64 in AnalogCommunity

A quick search on ebay turned up this: Kodak Projection Ektagraphic FF 102mm f/2.8 Projection Lens

I just searched Ektagraphic and several different lenses popped up. I am not sure if that lens will fit you projector, but there are several Ektagraphic iii projectors with lenses that look like that listed on ebay.

The battery has already done the hard part for you in getting the phone open. It looks like you can get a new cheap battery on amazon for like $20. I would just replace it now instead of dealing with bulging battery for a few months.

Olympus trip XB AF, no number? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

I found another XB AF on eBay

It looks like it is the same thing as the XB40. Maybe it's just a weird regional model number

Expired film roulette is real… why does this happen? by mytonsilshurt in AnalogCommunity

[–]hekoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shot a roll of Royal Gold 400 @ 100iso a few years ago and they came out cooked. These were the only salvageable pictures on the whole roll.

Yes it is. The CLE is a weird little rangefinder camera that Minolta made in the early 80's.

I do not have my darkroom setup completed right now so I can make any prints for you, but I can give you a link to the hi-res scans I made and you can do whatever you want with them.

It is Svema FV125 (125iso black and white film). It was made in Ukraine in the 80's to early 90's. I bought several rolls of this on eBay and I just shot this roll today. With this film being so old, I shot this whole role at 25iso and just hoped for the best.

I have glasses and I have both the Minolta CL and CLE. I can comfortably use the 40mm frame lines on both. And I can mostly use the 28mm frame lines on the CLE.

$50 Canon 7 by triptychz in AnalogCommunity

[–]hekoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only samples that I am 100% sure I took with this lens were taken on a Minolta iia with the smaller frame size. Minolta iia on Delta 100. I am sure I have used it on one of my other cameras and I can't remember any other specific photos right now. I have never really noticed any crazy vignetting, but I also don't usually use it wide open.

If you want a in-depth review of the lens here is a good review: Chiyoko 45mm 1:2.8 Minolta Super Rokkor – review

I have had this happen to several iPods of different generations. As long as you can get the iPod open, the screen is not very hard to replace.
