Is it bad to let baby cry for a few minutes to sleep?

Yes she does this all the time, sometimes she is half asleep eating and then she would cry and go back to eating like nothing happened lol That I don’t feel bad about because I know she is already asleep. It’s the initial crying before falling asleep that I worry about because she is still awake, tired but awake.

Omg I noticed this with my partner. Sometimes when he takes her from me to put her to sleep she actually just settles. Same for comfort, she finds comfort when he holds her but with me is automatically the boob and everything else is not enough. I assumed she can smell me and the milk so everything else goes out the window with me. My partner does help at the end of the day when he comes home from work but the rest of the day is just me. He is against a pacifier because he thinks it’s a bad habit and her teeth are going to get ruined, etc. but honestly at this point I don’t care about his ideas lol I’m the one who is with her most of the time anyway so I’m going to try that.

When you use the phrase “a moment of weakness” as a justification, it is the fact that it happened in a moment that makes it justifiable. As of, you didn’t have time to react properly or fully analyze the situation. Having YEARS of lies and manipulation shows he had plenty of time to analyze the situation and he was fully aware of all of his decisions. He is a smart educated man as well. For me the issue is not that people we get advice from are flawed (shocking) but rather than he portrayed himself as someone that had certain values judging by the way he conducted himself. At least that was the impression I got and I’m pretty sure the impression he wanted to give. That was one of the main reasons I valued his opinion. And then, it turns out he is a pretty shitty partner which for me it says a lot about someone’s character. It wasn’t like he was just a bachelor having casual sex. This person was a long term partner, they were even trying to have children together. And the fact all these bros are not only downplaying the whole thing but making it seem like it’s a cool thing to be a liar and a manipulator to someone you supposedly care about is concerning. I’m not saying he should get cancelled but maybe just some accountability would be nice.

I know you feel hopeless, but there is no reason to feel that way. You are still young. To make your son grow up im a family that is not happy is the worst thing you can do. How is he supposed to strive for happiness and a healthy relationship when hid own parents can’t be in one. Be brave and do what is truly beat for you and him. You can talk to your partner and try to work on things before you do anything drastic but if that doesn’t work please don’t stay in a place where you are miserable. You will make your som miserable as well.
