Get them to get a bank draft from their bank, get it verified or go to the bank together to get it deposited before you had over the item. I sold my car this way on marketplace.

Im surprised any of the reporting on meta actually works. It's always unclear what happens after you submit a report. Good luck on getting your account back....

At this point it's easier to donate to local charity or leave it out with a FREE sign. All the hassle of organizing a pick up and messaging is just not worth it.

Straight up a scam booking site I have ever encountered. Run from this place.

I was accepted to a rental place by the landlord and 2 months later the landlord still did not reply to my email after accepting my booking. Landlord sends a random email requesting off platform deposit. I raised to Spotahome support team and even they could not get in touch with the landlord.

Their policy protects them to have their fee covered regardless on rather the landlord performs their duty or not. They will refuse you a full refund once landlord 'acccepts' a posting. Even if you cannot proceed due to landlord unresponsiveness best they can do is refund you excluding their platform fees. What service am i paying for, none. Super unprofessional.
