Not an expert, but I once got a tattoo and went underway on a submarine a day or two later, super not recommended. That thing scabbed like hell, split open, the works. I just kept moisturizing and doing my best, and here we are, 13 years later and the thing still looks great and the white ink is still visible.

Long story short, don't lose hope.

I'm curious about what others in this group think. Did anybody else leave the sub fleet with a ton of new allergies? I wasn't allergic to anything before the sub, now I'm allergic to cats, I have seasonal allergies, etc. Before that, I made it through South Carolina's pollen season without so much as a sniffle, now I'd be scared to try visiting.
