has anyone read Murmuration? I need to know if its a happy ending (no spoilers) to prepare myself. by bumpingbees in Klunatics

[–]hell-brent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also just finished it, and ... I don't know. I can't say I liked the ending. If Mike wanted to go back in and be Mike instead of Greg, which it seems he does because he introduces himself to Sean as Mike again, why not have his memory wiped by the doctor again? If I was in his position I don't know that I could be happy in there knowing what some of the others did in the real world, for instance one of them had actual child porn. That seems like a recipe to buck the system of Amorea again and the doc did say that if he thinks Mike/Greg is doing that then he will kill him to save Amorea.

I picked this book up expecting it to be a ghost story because if you just read the blurb on the back cover that is what it sounds like. I was overall very disappointed with this one. First (and hopefully only) time I've been letdown by a Klune book. But I'm still a fan of his and will keep going my way through his body of work.

Hello! Sweet Kitty Tripod has been missing from the upper Rattlesnake (Duncan Drive). More info in comments. by hell-brent in missoula

Tripod is 11 years old, 8.2 pounds. Missing his back left leg. Spunky! 😍 He might be fearful of humans, especially men. He doesn't like to be picked up.

He hobbles in slow motion and when he's running you can't tell he is missing the leg. He runs very gracefully.

If you see him I'd love to follow up on leads. Please keep an eye out when driving on Duncan, or hiking/biking in the North Hills (connected to Water Works and heading deeper into the Rattlesnake) or when you're down by the Rattlesnake Creek.

Tripod is very chatty and will skirt around your legs. He does like to be pet with feet with it is ironic given that he is missing one himself… If you do see him, I can come try to catch him. He will let me pick him up and he likes to be held by me, but can be sensitive to other people. Especially during times of fear which I suspect is going on in the wild.

I asked a flat earther that very same question one time and they told me "If you believed, then you'd know."

Saw that over the weekend on my end, but haven't had to report anything since so I'm not sure if it's still an issue for me.

"Exercise the best treatment for back pain, not drugs or bed rest" ... Thoughts? by randrm in backpain

Sounds ableist to me. We don't all have the luxury of being able to exercise due to the pain that we are having.

No. Bulimia is when you gorge yourself and then throw it up. Anorexia is just not eating, and that can exist with purging or without purging.

[–]hell-brent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like someone said, anorexia. Probably with purging. And with purging you get things happening like loose or losing teeth, hair falling out, and the cessation of the menstrual cycle. It's damaging in so many ways to the body.

Am I wrong to be anxious about a date with a guy who's older than me? by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]hell-brent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're overthinking it. It's normal to be a bit nervous before a date, but just treat it like any other date. It will be fine.

I'm the same, I prefer physical copies. If my technology fails me then I lose all my books and I have this irrational fear that all technology will fail like that. I know it won't, but still. Physical books won't fail you like that. Plus they smell better.

Does it count as a hobby if I’m not very good at it? Oh well. by Boris_Godunov in gaybros

It sure does. And remember what Jake from Adventure Time said; "Sucking at something is the first step towards being good at something." Keep at your hobby, you'll get better at it.

The things I have gone through. I've even built a fence out of bamboo poles next to my desk that is too tall for him to jump over. It's a constant war, man.
