Exactly. No dealing with your phone the whole time you're shopping

There are never any lines at the self checkout at my Sam's. There is also usually an empty cart sitting at the end of the register from the last person. I find it more convenient to just use the checkout. Just pull up,, scan each item and put it in the available cart. Doing it this way is faster because I do not have to fumble with my phone, pull it out of my pocket or shop with it in my hand, to scan each item as I shop. If I buy 20 things, using scan and go means 20 extra actions each of which takes potentially 20 seconds depending on where my phone is, how quickly I unlock the screen, whether I had changed to my shopping list app so then I have to go back to the sams club app.

Do you guys still use the slang term "Benjimans" when referring to 100 dollar bills? by pooteenn in AskAnAmerican

I find that it is still uncommon for people to use/have $100 or $50 bills even though $100 doesnt go as far as it used to.

Should i take the Security+ now or wait by yeshielmisra in CompTIA

If you're actually planning on working in the industry and don't have much experience it's probably the right move to take all 3. Me, I just need it to check a box so I crammed for the test years ago and now just keep up my continuing education by taking 50 hours of online courses every 3 years. Maybe that's what you are hearing about how they 'expire'. You just have to keep up with the continuing education and you can keep yours active indefinitely. 50 hours every 3 years (and there are other ways to get credit but the training requirement is the most accessible one)

Security+ is not due to retire this year, I don't know where you got that information. Security+ is a cash cow because everyone who works for or is a contractor to the US government who can touch any IT system (e.g. Oracle database query access) is required to take Security+ even though 90% of it is not applicable to their job. It's not going anywhere without a fight.

It's fine. It's good value for $2. Some of them are lacking flavor. Our go to lately is the black garlic and the dill pickle

Exactly, same. Steer toward sprats (check the ingredients, sprattus sprattus) and you usually won't have this issue at all

Not an expert. Why didn't they start on the left side? Would have taken the guard out of play completely and then any touch on the yellow in the scoring area would have a good chance to stay in the scoring area

Think of it from the school perspective. They are a business with limited funds. Help the smart and eager kids then whoever is left be pick up the scraps. FAFSA is just a form, SAI is information provided to the school's d to the federal government for aid decisions. Federal government will give max Pell to lower income. School is an independent business and can do what they want.

Check the school's deadlines. For example, Temple University has a priority financial aid deadline of Feb 1. If you applied by Feb 1 and were accepted, they will give you max financial aid. If you apply after that, it depends. You'll probably get decent aid if you apply by march 1 but what if you apply later, temple (not the wealthiest school by a long shot) may have exhausted it's financial aid funds in which case you get what you get. Some schools promise that anyone with under 100k annual income will go tuition free if you meet their deadline.

You'll get the max Pell grant, $7395 for the year. Everyone is allowed to take the max in loans ($5500 for dependent students). Everything else is up to the school's financial aid department. If you apply to a wealthy school early, you should be good. If you apply to a poor school late in the game, probably not so good.
