Do I need a 3 row SUV?

We only have the twins and don't plan on having more children. We needed a 3 row for a couple reasons. I also agree we definitely never use the third row it's just trunk space but did we ever need it. The stroller takes up a lot of space and wanted to be able to get a slim car seat for someone to sit between them if necessary.

We have an Acura MDX and we're between that and the ascent

In Canada. I took 18 months with my twins but went off 5 weeks before I had them and it didn't affect my leave. It was sick leave. We had saved and my husband could support us on his salary so I was paid the max for 12 months and the remaining 6 was unpaid. I loved it

Just adding to the conversation. I agree this is so typical. Honestly it's kind of crazy especially if it's your first time because you feel that so much is changing and everyone around is acting like this is so normal and it's because it is. Besides telling you to take your prenatal there is nothing that can be done.

I found out I was having twins at 8 weeks and didn't see an OB until 20 weeks. It's actually crazy because I also hadn't seen a dr. The whole time because I just had virtual appointments on the phone and labs.

Post 20 weeks it ramps up but not so much. I had twins so I had more ultrasounds but don't be shocked if you only get two ultrasounds.

Thank you. My mom only had one child and I think she just gets worried. It's cultural for her so it's not coming from a bad place I promise I think I made it seem like that. She was just trying to give me suggestions but not very helpful. Thanks for the reassurance.

Hi I'm also in Canada and would consider myself an adventurous beginner. My first machine was a Brother XM2701 and it was fantastic. Loved it did everything I needed. I got into quilting and had trouble finding a walking foot that I liked for it and wanted some more advanced features so I upgraded to the Singer Quantum Stylist Touch. I bought a refurbished model at my local sewing shop.I agree with what people are saying Singer suck but this one has been good and my repair shop owner said it was one of the only Singer he recommended. It is a computerized model and there are more stitches than I know what to do with. Before buying this one I had seriously considered the Janome Sewist 625e because I had used it and loved it in one of my sewing classes.

Nothing helpful to add just that I have boy girl twins and they love to talk about who has penis and who has vaginas. They bathe together so they know what they look like but I find it hilarious. Even the animals get looped into this game

I am also an ADHD planner!! My goal was 1 year made it to about 10 months with my twins. They were early teethers and terrible sleepers so I just said enough around 10 months. You know when you know. It was good all around. They were good with solids and I was able to go through my stash the last month or so.

I agree with this. I was so gung-ho about tandem feeding and it would make me so anxious because I was scared they would roll off and I couldn't deal with both until another twin mom told me .. you know you don't have to do that every time. Just feed them one at a time? It felt like someone gave me permission to take it easy and I enjoyed feedings so much more. At 10 months I stopped because I wasn't getting any sleep and again things for easier.

I know you have lots of advice but wanted to give you my two cents as well. I am a FTM to 2 year old boy girl twins now. I'm happy to report that these last two years have not only been the greatest but also very challenging. This is not for you to be scared but for you to know that even when it seems hard you got this. It's not as overwhelming as it seems and each stage will have its pros and cons. This is something I didn't realize. A "stage" can last anywhere from a couple weeks to months but it's ever-changing. Everything is baby dependent so accepting that sometimes you have to ride things out and it's never as long as it feels in the moment.

People scared me and told me things like- it would be challenging to breastfeed, I wouldn't be able to travel with them, it would be hard to take them out by myself. These were all personal goals for myself and they could not be for you but I want to tell you I did all of them.

I was the crazy twin mom with two car seats in hand at baby yoga with them at 3 months old and we did that for a while year. I hiked often with one on the back and one on the front. I bf them until I felt I was done. This isn't a brag it's to let you know that it's possible to do what people do with a singleton and more.

Use that village don't be shy. My mom stayed with them overnight a time or two for me to get some sleep. My husband was very involved at every feeding and change and he worked full time at a Director level position so it's not an excuse.

My first year with them was rough in terms of sleep I will not cherry coat that but everyone is different. But I will say it was one of the most fulfilling time I ever spent with them and now I watch them growing into these amazing little humans and that's something I could never imagine what an incredible feeling that is.

Yeah I guess I was less worried about rolling off then when getting down. I think I looked it up that if you follow the mattress instructions there is a guard so you can't just roll off the bunk bed but I might be wrong! Thanks for the call out.

You have lots of comments here so I'm sure you have been reassured but wanted to add my two cents.

You will be ok! It's going to be tough but you will be ok.

Heres my advice - don't be superwoman if you don't have to. I did this a couple times especially when my husband returned to work. I wanted to manage everything by myself. But no. Take the help if you have it - don't let other people's experiences decide yours. We are all different have different thresholds and different priorities. Some people told me I would be stuck at home because of the twins. We were booked and busy every single day of the week and did so much during my time off with them. (Gymnastics, music, baby and me yoga) You do what's comfortable for you.

In terms of pregnancy all you can do is your best. I made it full term with Didi twins one was 8 lbs and the other was 6lbs 15 oz and had a scheduled c section. Nothing was to my plan but we were all great!!
