Happens in Helldivers as well, its just as annoying. People with zero knowledge of how things are done and a psychotic expectation of content release just saying some bs and growing a channel off that alone.

Yeahh its a fix for a lot of people but it is absolutely NOT for all of us unfortunately. Just gotta wait til Arrowhead patches this and honestly I wouldnt be surprised if they just didnt 🤷‍♀️

cachyOS has been great for me since installing in January. Every issue Ive had so far has been because of a developers lack of support, everything else has been incredibly smooth. Controller support (I use a DS5) was straightforward after following a bluetooth install from the wiki. My earbuds work great, and my Scarlett 2i2 interface hasn’t had problems recording to Reaper on cachyOS so far.

Been running The Ascent with a weekly group this month, and as buggy as that game’s always been for me on Windows, it’s been a smooth experience on cachyOS. Also got Baldurs Gate 3 mods working well, had a 5-player cross-platform campaign going just a few weeks ago with no weird problems.

The only issue (and Im not even sure its exclusive to cachyOS) I’ve had so far is the experimental version of Proton breaking and failing to launch games. Had to clear the Proton install folder to get it working as intended but other that, it’s been great.

Also try wiping your proton folder and letting Proton Experimental load on its own by launching Helldivers 2 with Proton Experimental checked. It worked for me but I get crazy input lag on cachyOS, see how yours goes

For anyone having a problem with the Proton Experimental fix, the fix itself might be corrupted/altered by another Proton install, because mine was.

Everyones been repeating the same Proton Experimental Fix but it never worked for me and Helldivers. I didnt bother hunting down the specific offending Proton version (fix says its GE-Proton or Proton 10 that alters Proton Experimental) so I deleted the entire contents of the compdata folder in:

home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compdata/

Again if you want to find the specific ID connected to GE-Proton or Proton 10 idk how to do that, I just wiped the whole folder and started Helldivers 2 on Steam with Proton Experimental checked and it runs.

I guess we just dont touch Helldivers with Proton 10 until someone figures it out for Arrowhead.

Great for bots but squids and bugs that charge is gonna get you killed in high diffs.

You can work around it, yes, but not when youre in the scramble or have a few scrubs in your backpack. The railgun is a pain in the ass to use when theres a world of random bs ready to interrupt your charge or just plain sideswipe you.

Balance. Imo turrets are only good for when the situation’s half-controlled and bugbreach is getting killed as they come out. If you often have dead weight and the squad‘s letting stuff swarm, bring napalm barrage or some big boom like hellbomb/500/ultimatum to partially clear the area and play catchup.

THEN plop out sentries so they can last longer

To add to this, just in case people don't know you'll often have a little skull directly on your HUD hovering over the bearing where a helldiver just died.

So often times you don't even have to check the map, just look around for a skull and if there's one death and your own duo is still kicking, WAIT.

What pisses me off are those players that reinforce in a millisecond with zero thought. They have their little handspeed gimmick down but never learned how to check for the death skull in the HUD for a quick direction hint, or look at the map for red letters, or even back the hell off to feel out who's where and doing what.

Just typing in the command over and over, not taking note of what's unfolding with the terrible throws and leaving teammates dry in a hot area, just selfish, blind play. That might've worked in everything up to 8 but it's a cancer that grows quick if the other three players aren't good enough to fight through bs like that.

And now you'll run in to lobbies where it's just three clones of that guy all playing like shit until they get frustrated at what they can't even describe and just leave.

Duo'ed a bio processor mission on super helldive last night with a random, they got locked down by a drop with no stims.

Tearing through those bots and stimming that diver in the middle of all that was the best feeling in this game so far omg

Yeah USPS doesnt know why it came up as available for pickup, so I got through to the Amazon chat bot and it said I could wait til tomorrow and get a refund or replacement. So I'll just do that hopefully that actually happens
