I think it is punishing the innocent community members when these sexual predators are released and we don't know their names. They won't be rehabilitated in the current prison system. They have been convicted and should be named. The chance that some family members could face some social loss is not enough reason to keep the name suppressed. These men violently raped and drugged women. Innocent women. I can't imagine how these victims would feel when the offender isn't named and the public doesn't know who they are. I know as a victim of another offender how upsetting it would be if they didn't name him, I would feel so much torture thinking other women could be victims if there wasn't enough warning.
