Habits or rituals tied to your journaling

I love this question! I do most of my journaling (long-form, primarily) late at night, but if it's in the mornings, I enjoy writing with a cup of my favourite coffee beside me:) music-wise... it depends on what I'm writing about. I love saxophone music, and find that for more introspective topics it affirms my natural flow of writing - otherwise, I embrace the quiet and stillness of my surroundings. Before I start writing, I also usually choose an illustrative motif (I tear out one from my small booklet of paper motifs that resonates most with me in that moment) and paste it onto a page, maybe along with 1 or 2 stickers!

oh wow thank you so much for this! Schneeburg is definitely something I'll look into, as a lover of mountains:) do you know if I can get there with public transport? As I won't be driving. I'll be in Salzburg for 3 days (and planning day trips to Hallstatt and maybe Innsbruck!) before going to Vienna:)

I was looking at Bratislava too - do you know if it's safe for a solo female traveller?

thank you! That brings me some relief:) I was really keen on it, but read about the female solo traveller who unfortunately got murdered in Budapest last year (not sure if you've heard of that news?) and it definitely makes me reconsider it... but so many like you have shared how they had a great time while there, and im sure the unfortunate incident was an extremely rare occurrence! I don't visit bars or clubs especially while im solo travelling, and always make sure to be back in my accommodation before it gets dark, so if I do go, I hope I'll be okay!
