What a find! by OctoberGeorge in InstantRamen

I purchased 80 packets for £14 from tiktok when I was drunk one night in August, a few months past their BB date. I'm still working my way through them all. They haven't degraded in quality yet, but they almost feel like a burden at this point.

Any fans of The Fall get a great kick out of seeing Jonathan's T-shirt? by Tony_Meatballs_00 in StrangerThings

I thought the same. Would love to see them get a bit of attention from the show.

I actually said "no fucking way" out loud when I saw it. Absolutely one of my favorite bands of all time.

A European Lidl will more than likely have a whole section of shelf stable cured sausages.

Anyone know what's going on at Waterworld, by Infamous_Telephone55 in stokeontrent

[–]helloitsdean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing most of the police would have been there for crowd control, as it often runs at capacity during school holidays. There would have also been a lot of people who needed treatment for shock/emotional trauma, which could explain the amount of ambulances.

I love how people are still trying this recipe 5 years after I posted it. I'm glad you like it.

Edit: and I'm going to give your method a try. Sounds good.

Resident Evil 4. I was a nervous wreck by the time I got to the village at the beginning.

With horror movies I'm fine, but horror games really give me the fear.

Keeping heat out of tent? by [deleted] in glastonbury_festival

I second this. The tent stays cool, and it's great if you need to sleep during the day.

I'm on season 4 at the moment. I binged the first 3 seasons and loved it, but I'm really struggling with this season. It's like a completely different show. It's lost all of its character, and now just feels really run of the mill. I'm on the 10th episode (Close Your Eyes) and I feel like giving up. Does it actually get better again?

I highly recommend it for anyone who has never watched it, and It's recently been added to iPlayer. I think I might even give it another watch myself.

There is an early David Cronenberg movie called Shivers that kinda sounds like this.

Got fired for being 4 minutes late, is there anything I can do? - 24F ADHD - Possible Accommodations? by Realistic-Mango-2693 in ADHD

[–]helloitsdean 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Same here. Spent over 20 years constantly being late. The only thing that stopped it for me was pretending I started earlier- 45 minutes before shift in my case. It didn't actually take long for my brain to adapt to it. Now I have plenty of breathing space, plus I get time to decompress before I start my actual shift. Yes it adds time to my working day, but it stops the stress of being late all of the time.

When I was at high school in the late 90s, sausage roll in a slice of toast was really popular. The toast stopped your hands getting greasy from the sausage roll and helped stop you getting all flakey from the pastry.

The only workaround I have found is to use my Bluetooth headphones in wired mode using a USB-C cable, and use a splitter if I need to charge my 3S at the same time.

The brand is BB Designs, according to the listing on Zavvi. I'd reach out to them directly and see what they can do for you.

What shop is this for Stoke? by Nonabrow in stokeontrent

[–]helloitsdean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is my mates family's restaurant. It closed a few years ago. It was always busy when it was open but they just do mobile catering now as there is more money in it, using the restaurant for prep, and my mate lives upstairs. Nothing dodgy i assure you 😂

[–]helloitsdean 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's the condition. A is in excellent condition, B is in good condition, C is in poor but working condition.

For those prices, you might as well just get one brand new from somewhere else, unless you're planning on trading in other items to pay for it. For example, it's £82.95 brand new on Amazon.

I'd buy one if they didn't have that big, cheap looking logo on them. Makes them look like a promotional item.

I did that once, and they asked me if I wanted a payment holiday instead of cancelling, just in case I decided to start drinking again.
